We ran in here to get out of the rain and the cakes were lovely. I had Baba Al Rhum and my gf a Bocconcino and both were really good. The only little niggle was the Hot Chocolate was too small - it was the...most expensive thing and the least value. It seemed that I was getting the least amount they dared get away with for the price, but other than that it was all good and would recommend it.More

There are many positive things to say about Bar Veneruso, It's on Corso Italia, with tables outside that makes it a great spot for people-watching. The cakes are absolutely amazing, with their "sfogliata" being their speciality. In the morning or for lunchtime it's a great...place for a coffee and a cake, or a light-lunch. Relatively recently they've added a pizzeria to the establishment, and they do make excellent pizzas which are really good quality and well worth a try. The restaurant has a completely different vibe depending on the time of day. The mornings are relaxed and you can take your time and watch the world go by. At night, the feeling is of somewhere more frantic and far less relaxing. This is in keeping with the rest of Sorrento though to be fair. This brings me on to the service. This is clearly a family establishment, where some of the younger "staff" aren't trusted to carry out certain tasks. This can mean that the senior staff are overworked which then leads to them being very brusque in their service. So depending on who you get will really determine how good, bad or indifferent an experience you will have. For those visiting Italy during the Covid-19 times, face masks are only required when going inside the establishment. They're not needed if you sit outside.More

Nice friendly staff, great carbonara but portions a bit too small for a grown man. Still 5/5 very recommended.

We sat down here dying for a drink. Really lovely location to sit watch the world go by. We visited twice in the week and throughly enjoyed both times. We had some light lunch to share and some fantastic desserts washed down with prosecco. The...staff were very pleasant and hospitable. I would definitely recommendMore

After being in Naples for 4 days this Cafe was a breath of fresh air. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was great and prices reasonable. Nothing was rushed in getting you out of your table. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place to stop and grab a coffee and a pastry. Excellent service, food and coffees.. I have a Nutella Cappuccino. A bit different but if you like Nutella it tastes great in coffee..
