Friendly Service, good choice of menues, regional fresh products, tasteful and not to expensive. Just an ideal place to go out at night.

We had a really nice dinner at this gem. While the service could be improved, and the waiters' promptness can use some work, the food was really nice. We had spaghetti bolognese, mussels scampi and the fresh fish catch of the day and everything was delicious. One thing I would do differently next time is sit outside, but away from... More

Lunch in October. They were very busy, managed to get a table after few mins wait. My husband had "seafood zuppa" which was lovely, all sorts of seafood, but not a "normal" soup.I had veal in porchini mushroom sauce, it was one of the best veal I have ever had. Waiters were friendly and helpful.

Had a three course meal with wine at this restaurant. Very quickly served. The pasta was ok, the chicken was dry and the dessert was ok.

We had dinner there with another family. All was fine, but nothing special. The food is mediocre and it lacks a little bit the extra wow factor. So if you are hungry and do not want to take risk then this is for you.

Can't fault the food but that takes a back seat compared to the rudest waiter we have ever come across. We sat down and were bought the menus which were just thrown on the table without a word and he walked away. When my wife's Pasta came she asked for some Parmesan and we never saw him again and on... Lunch here was dreadful. Not only were the staff annoyed that we wanted to sit inside (very windy and cold day), but I had to ask twice for a glass of Pinot - waiter disappeared first but only returned to talk to someone whom I can only presume to be a local. Garlic bread was completely charred and inedible (hard... More

We ate here a couple of times. Food was very reasonably priced for sorrento. It was also very tasty. We enjoyed a pizza and a bruschette with tomatoes. We would recomend. We also enjoyed a local wine which was lovely

Went for dinner. The minestrone soup my husband has was the most watery and insipid looking bowl of soup ever. The pizzas we had afterwards did however go,some way in redeeming the meal. Service was ok but not ove the top. Would we go back? Probably not as there are much nicer places to eat in Sorrento.

My wife and I visited Sorrento in May and we had several meals at an excellent restaurant named Il Pozzo (The Well). We tried many of their pastas, risottos and pizzas and they were all wonderful. I had pasta with seafood more than once and it was excellent. I also had their risotto with mushrooms and it was delicious.Their house red wine is very good. It is fruity, easy to drink and very moderately priced. And for white wine, we chose Falanghina from the wine list. Falanghina is a local white wine that is fruity with a subtle crispness. Finally, I need to say a few words about the staff. They were always very helpful and made me feel completely comfortable. They were wonderful guys.Il Pozzo is located on via Tasso, down from the cathedral, at the intersection with via dell'Accademia.
