The black ink pasta course was amazing.
It’s a pity the crème brûlée wasn’t torched before serving.
Service between the courses could have been a bit quicker, but overall it was very satisfying food at a reasonable price.

Wow! We came for dinner and this place was incredible, from the moment you walk in it is very welcoming and the waiter was very helpful with menu selections. The hardest part is choosing! We got the assortment of cheeses to try them all and we’ll be thinking about that cheese for years to come. We had a chefs special pasta and the spaghetti and both were absolutely amazing!!!! They had a very extensive wine list with a variety of prices - I don’t eat meat but it seemed like they also specialize in meats. Definitely eat here!!!

Me and my husband stumbled upon Bufalito by accident and we couldn't have been luckier!
I'd been craving Italian risotto for a couple of days and were looking for a restaurant where we could have risotto. We took a quick look at the menu at Bufalito, but I didn't see any on the menu. At this point, the owner showed up and offered to cook me a tomato buffalo mozzarella risotto off the menu! Not only was it such a nice gesture, but the risotto itself was also the best I've had. Additionally, we had delicious appetizers and a fresh and crisp local white wine that we both highly recommend (pictures attached)!
A big thank you to Bufalito for the best evening of our trip to Sorrento!

Went for the Tomahawk steak on reccomendation of the server. We were quite excited to try it. We were very specific with it being medium rare and it was brought out rare. We were then told we could cook a bit more on charcoal our self at the table which I found a bit odd. Asked the chef do it himself. Came back again done almost perfect. The sauces that accompanied the steak were a bit underwhelming. The server reccomended the foccacia bread which was super thin and overdone. We didn't enjoy it. Server was extremely friendly.

My family and I really enjoyed our meal. Everything we ordered was top class, from the focaccia, pasta and steak that was ordered - it also offered good value for your money.
In addition, we were very well looked after from Salvatore (our waiter), who added to the overall positive experience. I would definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try if you are in Sorrento.

I am not one to typically write reviews for restaurants with great food but subpar service. But the service (or lack thereof) our server provided was abysmal. We had a reservation for 21:30. We were seated inside around 21:45, placed our appetizer, wine, and main course order; we were promptly asked to move outside (which we were fine with). We were greeted by an elderly server who was extremely unpleasant and rude (despite me speaking Italian). I explained to him that we had placed our entire order inside, which he seemed to understand. After 20mins, he returned to our table to take our order;
I reiterated we had placed it all inside, but he insisted there was “no order to be found.” Frustrated at this point, we repeated our entire order: water without gas, a bottle of house white wine, 2 mixed salads to start, and gnocchi sorrentina and ragú for our mains. 15 minutes passed until we received water (with gas- not what we ordered) and another 10min until we received bread and our salads. We asked for Parmesan for our salads and our server rudely quipped “no cheese on salads” before reluctantly obliging to our request. Nearly 40mins after placing our order for food and drinks, we STILL had not received our wine. We had to ask a different server and the host for it to finally arrive. A wine chiller was not brought until I asked for one after 20mins (despite the server’s assertion he would bring one promptly). Our food arrived about 1.5hrs after we ordered; I have to admit the gnocchi sorrentina and ragú were divine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We ordered 2 café Americano and were assured by our server that limoncello “on the house” was on the way. Unfortunately, we were charged €8 for the limoncello. Overall, I would recommend the food, but avoid the elderly server. The rest of the staff, including the host and bussers were amazing. Go here for the quality of the food— not the quality of servers. Our experience would have been 5 stars had our waiter been more pleasant, transparent, attentive, and expedient.

Booked in advance based on TA reviews and wanted a change from the typical Italian restaurants. Also, recommended by family who had been here previously. Let’s start with the positive - the food was very good, had to try the Tomahawk steak for two which was very good.
Now the problems - we went as a party of four and the table where we sat was knowwhere near big enough, in hindsight we wished we had mentioned this before sitting down and if need be we would have gone somewhere else. We did notice couple of the same size tables which says it all. So having been seated inside, very close to each other it was unbearably hot and no room to eat, no room for all the dishes we ordered. We were brought stools that we situated at the end of the tables to put our food on. Some people may prefer the way they present the steak but given the fact it was uncomfortably hot we didn’t like the fact that despite asking for our steak to be medium rare, it arrives at the table rare and they bring a hot paste to cook it to your liking. Giving we we already uncomfortable this wasn’t a great experience at all, the hot plate at the side of you just made it more uncomfortable. We just wanted to eat and leave as soon as possible so it’s ruined what could have been good. Staff appeared a little flustered and inexperienced too. No complementary limoncello was offered so we got the bill. At this point the owner asked if we had enjoyed it, after telling him the table was too small instead of acknowledging and apologising he just tried to justify it by saying they need to fit more people in - well if it a about squashing people in rather than giving people paying in excess of €240 a great dining experience he can keep it…. Don’t bother with this place so many better places who take customers more seriously than this place. Luckily the food prevented this from being 1/5……

Although service was good, the restaurant was really busy due to an event taking place that night. The food suffered as a result and our meat was quite dry and overdone. We had asked for medium not well cooked. A bit too pricey too.

I had high hopes for Inn Bufalito after seeing it appear on numerous top 10 lists for places to eat in Sorrento. Sadly, the standards of both the service and the food fell short of expectations and did not match the price paid by our table of six.
First of all, after sitting down, our waiter came over and made a firm recommendation that we have the sampling platter as a starter. He seemed so keen for us to order these for our table that we had to practically stop him in the middle of him writing down the order he had made for us to tell him what we actually wanted. Not a major issue but a bit strange and annoying to have to insist on picking what YOU would like rather than having the waiter pick for you without asking.
As it turned out, I was made to regret not taking the recommendation as the “fondue” I ordered was very disappointing. Literally just a dribble of pasta sauce with a small amount of melted cheese through it. I had to ask for bread as none was provided and it was near impossible to eat with a fork. I accept that my disappointment could, in part, be put down to not understanding what I was ordering but it was a mediocre dish at best.
What I don’t accept was that one member of our party was without their appetiser for a good ten minutes while everyone else was given theirs. We had to ask several times to check that it was on the way and it meant that this person started their food just as the rest of us were finishing. This happened AGAIN during the main courses to another member of our party who received his side dish but no main course as everyone else was given theirs. Again, another awkward ten minute wait with multiple reassurances needed that the food was on the way. Quite amateurish and not what you expect from a restaurant charging above mid-level prices.
To add insult to injury, one of the waiters began to clear our plates away while the member of our party was still eating his delayed main course. Disorganised service is one thing, but this was just rude.
Based on my experience, I would recommend that you avoid Inn Bufalito altogether. However, if you insist on going then I have one final piece of advice for you. If, like me, you decide to have one of their steaks then tell them you want it at least two degrees of doneness beyond what you would normally ask for. I asked for my buffalo sirloin rare and it was like eating sashimi.
Sorrento has so many high quality and inexpensive places to eat. This is not worth your time.

In a quieter side street we have discovered this little gem. Very well known for different varieties of mozzarella and component of most dishes the choice is not easy. We had as a starter buffalo mozzarella with Parma ham and focaccia, for main course homemade pasta with fresh tomatoes and burata and tagliata di manzo. It was excellent. The service and also the chef personally take care of their guests with much attention and read one's wish from the eyes. Definitely stop in for dinner, we will definitely come again.

We enjoyed the zucchine flower beignet and the T-bone steak that we could finish to cook according to our taste on a hot plate. An amazing experience if you do not want to eat only fish in Sorente.
Definitely a place we will visit again when we go back to Sorente.

We ate twice at Bufalito during a recent trip to Sorrento, once for dinner and once for lunch, after visiting multiple times in the past, pre- Covid.
The food was exceptional as always, from the antipasti to the pasta and dessert, but especially the steak, everything was perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty.
There is nothing bad on their menu, but you have to try their buffalo products - cheese, cured meats and steak - to truly understand what makes this restaurant so special.
While there are other good places to eat in Sorrento, the appeal isn't just the food, but the service. Constantino and the team are superb, and make you feel completely at home, offering menu recommendations as well as tips for making the most of your time in Sorrento.
We cannot wait to return on our next trip here later this year, and cannot recommend Bufalito highly enough.

We had an exquisite meal at Inn Bufalito last night and would highly recommend it to anyone heading to Sorrento. We felt immediately welcomed by friendly staff members and quickly settled into its cozy, rustic environment. The wait staff and chef were attentive and knowledgeable with excellent recommendations for our group, consisting of three generations on their first vacation together in three years. The buffalo mozzarella, the home made pasta, the local fresh ingredients served to perfection in its purest, simplest form left us feeling fully satisfied and looking forward to our next visit.

This place is great! The servers were really nice and the food was amazing (unique recipes, big portions, homemade pasta, and a wide selection of mozzarella dishes). They have some items on the menu you don’t see at other restaurants in Sorrento. If you like mozzarella this place is a must (the “degustazione” plate is super good)!

We arrived in Sorrento. Being a married couple with New England and South Jersey roots, we are no strangers to some of the best seafood in the world (opinion not fact) but from Lobster, to crabs, to swordfish, tuna, clams, mussels, oysters, to say The North Atlantic is not one of the best is poppycock. I say this because I was 'whelmed' at best by the 'amazing seafood' Italy had to offer. It was good, but many of the things we tried were no better than what we can get at home. Im not saying its bad, but being from this area I think we had higher expectations than someone from the Midwest or Southwest US.
So we wanted something different. Our hotel recommended this place dedicated to The cows that make Buffalo Mozzarella(probably one of favorite things on the trip) so it was right up our alley.
The food was amazing, the cheese plate of all the different Buffalo made cheeses other than mozzerella was a sight to behold, the home made bread was to die for and the ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. But the star was the meat and the pasta. I had the buffalo rage and my wife had the Fusilli con salsiccia, melanzane e provola affumicata and it was to die for.
100% recommend if you are in the mood to go elsewhere in Sorrento for something other than seafood.
