Looks lovely. Food ok but service poor. The staff are more interested in getting people in than they are looking after their customers. Have sat with dirty plates in front of us for 15 mins. Won't come back!!!

Visited yesterday Friday 26 August as part of a summer holiday in Sorrento. Wanted a slightly off the beaten track, quality pizza with a good atmosphere and La Lanterna delivered on all fronts, possibly less so in the off the beaten track but had a lovely side street secluded feel. Food and service were excellent. 'Bruschetta Pomodoro on us' got... More

This is a very busy restaurant and I will admit our meal was lovely and portions were very big. But the servers let this place down. After finishing our main meal we were unsure if we wanted desert or not so we asked server to come back to us in a minute while we sat and finished our wine. A... More

Friendly staff, busy for outside seating. All the food was nice, typical old style Italian restaurant. Can't say it's the best meal we have ever had but certainly worth a visit. €102 for 2 courses and a bottle of good quality Prosseco.

Good food and service although owner was a tad serious. Other staff excellent. Seems to be a feature here I've noticed ! Fish weight and price was a bit misleading : €30 for €6 per 100 g and only 2 slithers on the plate ! It was nice though.

We ate here one night and the food was very good. The staff were also very nice. But with the amount of competition in the area the cover charge of 2euro per person should be dropped. Also, the charge of 4euro for a bottle of peligrino was way too much.

We ate here in 2004 and were Lucky to find this place again in 2016. Awesome service!! Wonderful antipasto buffet. Fresh fish filleted at the table. Quiet location tucked away from the busy shopping area. Highly recommended!

Characterful restaurant with good varied menu. We have eaten here on several occasions now and it has always been good. Efficient service, good pasta, pizza, vegetarian, seafood and meat options. Set in an old Roman baths the inside has character or you can outside in the small alley way, although this can be a bit warm on a hot night.

We ate there dinner on two consecutive evenings. We came back the second time because of the experience on the first one. The restaurant is located in a small alley, at the beginning of the pedestrian street of the city center. You can choose a-la-cart or a buffet menu, or a combination. On the first evening we went for the... More

On our first night we dined here and whilst it didn't amaze us, we thought oh well this is ok. The waiter that served us inside was pleasant and efficient and the food was ok. We thought we would eat here later in the week as we had the opportunity to din eour side this time, in the alley. The... More
