Came here for dinner and it was one of our best meal we have had in Italy. Do go for the sea food starter (comes in 4 small portions, each of them brilliantly cooked). The Squid maincourse I had was also fantastic. Staffs were very friendly and I would definitely reccommend this place to everyone who loves sea food

I lived in New York for the past 27 years, had Italian food in more than few Italian restaurants in NYC + Brooklyn , bronx queens and Long Island, let's just say it's not on the top of my list, just not great fan of pasta, first visit to Italy, had few meals in Rome, nothing special (always go by... Very welcome and hospitable service. Dinner was delicious and filling. Wine recommendation was spot on. We ordered the appetizer tasting from the sea (a tuna croquette, couscous and shrimp cake, octopus over chickpea puree, and squid with potato) and the land pasta (a lightly creamy sausage and pumpkin sauce with pecorino). Everything was delicious. We were offered not one, but... More

Gianluca is a fantastic host and made excellent suggestions to ensure we all were happy. Too bad we ate so much we couldn't fit any dessert! We tried eating there again but it was closed and we needed to leave town. Arriba Gianluca! Forse ci vediammo a Messico!

We dropped in about 1 pm and were shown a table for two immediately, which was lucky as the room filled and some people looking for lunch were turned away. The food was extremely well prepared, and the service was great. We had a pasta with a pumpkin and sausage sauce, and a pasta with vongole and small prawns. Secondo... More

Lovely restaurant - steps from the promenade and the Verdi Theatre. Very cozy, small intimate setting, not much seating. We were made to feel very welcome. Very helpful waiters. We started off with appetizers, potato and broccoli, omelette, Buffalo mozzarella, Baked fennel with prosciutto, pasta with red sauce, rigatoni with tomato sauce and fresh basil, pork with nuts on a... We had a wonderful dinner at this seafood restaurant. We made an advance reservation by calling and later confirming through Francesco at Salerno Central B&B. The service was outstanding, very good reasonably priced wine selections and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed the squid and eggplant pastas. The Tonno dinner was one of the best my wife has had,... More

This osteria is very small and is usually booked so make a reservation. We thoroughly enjoyed our pasta and seafood, as well as the recommended wine. All was very delicious! The service was excellent and we will definitely eat here again when we return to Salerno!

We went here after unsuccessfully locating a different ristorante on TripAdvisor. I had the Squid ink pasta; a little strange to look at but I had seen it before so I knew that I was actually going to be served BLACK PASTA! The squid was so tender so if you know anything about Squid, that's not always the case. It... More
