Finding a restaurant that on the Amalfi coast that is not totally geared to tourist menus is not an easy task. I love the local aspect of every place I visit and make tremendous effort sometime to find such a place. In the case of the beautiful town of Amalfi we had to walk up the main street of the... More

This is a really nice little place. We had, over a few visits, mussels, antipasto, pizza, pasta with sausage in a red sauce, vino and other delights. You walk through the main square, and keep walking about ten minutes. It is quiet, full of friendly locals , not crammed with tourists and very affordable. Super nice servers!

Stopped here for a well deserved beer, ended up eating lunch there, pizza was amazing so was caprese salad definitely worth the small walk out of the touristy piazza by the church.

We walked past Il Mulino on the way back into Amalfi on our second day and resolved to return for dinner. It was so good we returned the next night too. Both the pizza (the best so far in Italy) and the homemade seafood pasta were amazing and the family running the place were lovely. Prices are very reasonable (especially... More

We visited this restaurant because it is mentioned in the book "The land where lemons grow", expecting to find a warm welcome and something interesting to eat, such as calamarata pasta made using lemons. Regrettably, we found no calamarata pasta and we were ignored by the wait staff after our arrival for a considerable period of time. Other customers who... More

A few dozen feet from the paper museum is the most charming family restaurant you will find in Amalfi. The prices are very reasonable, the wine local, and the food exceptional. We were seated and waited on by a young man who appeared to be in his late 20s. He was very pleasant, authentic, and genuinely cared for our satisfaction.... More

Heard of the place on a bus in Sorento and it turned out to be really good. Ask for the two home-made-pasta meals - one with tomatos and basil, the other with sea-food. It was the best Italian food we tried on our trip. The service was excellent as well.

We spent a week on the amalfi coast and went to Il Mulino on one of our last days for lunch. Everything we ordered was delicious but the meal that stands out was the pasta with lemon, clams and arugula. We still talk about the dish and will be trying to re-create soon. Good prices, nice service and excellent food.... More

We ate here all three nights of our stay in Amalfi, good honest Italian food and wine at very reasonable prices, worth the pleasant walk up the hill away from the tourist hordes. Family run pizzeria, friendly service and most importantly, you are surrounded by local people.

This place seems like the place to go for local families. Service was excellent, spoke English, food was to die for! It is worth the walk up from the tourist areas. Google maps has the wrong position as its closer than shown. The clam pasta with mushrooms and tomatoes is perfecto
