It's a bit of walk up the road to the restaurant. But the food is much better than many of the restaurants In the main square. The pasta is fresh and the prices are reasonable.

Quite simply the best meal I have ever had! So nice that I went back three more times in the space of a week. The Homemade pasta with seafood was out of this world! Make the effort and visit this restaurant!

Worth walking 10 minutes from the main piazza to find this place. We had great sea food, and lovely service in an unpretentious setting. Recommended by the Rough Guide as the place where locals go, but there was only one local couple - all the rest of us were North American or English.

If you like authentic Italian pasta and seafood you have to eat here. The house wine is excellent and the food was awesome. Simple, basic ingredients is always the best. If you agree then try this place, it will not disappoint!

A late lunch after walking the streets of Amalfi. Didn't really expect much but were pleasantly surprised by the quality of these home made pasta dishes. The Clams in lemon sauce was outstanding! Excellent value and great people. Worth giving it a go.

Solid food (seafood, local fare) at decent prices (seldom in Amalfi), with friendly, polite service in an unspectacular ambiente, for those who go the extra mile uphill

So glad we found this restaurant early on in our holiday! Reasonably priced fantastic authentic Italian food. Everything tasted wonderful, but the best dish was the tagliatelle with clams cooked in a lemon and rocket sauce!! Family run, Vincenzo works hard front of house whilst Mamma cooks - the pizzas are also fantastic we had one night for 4 euros,... More

What a pleasant surprise. We stumbled onto this place after touring the paper mill museum (that's another 5-star experience). We ate octopus in a spicy red sauce (OMG!), whole grilled fish (eyeballs and all), and a beautiful, crisp, thin-crust pizza. This was not tourist food. I went back to the kitchen to thank them "delicioso!"

Il Mulino is off the beaten path, up the main street near the Paper Museum. It is a neighborhood restaurant that welcomes outsiders, and rewards them with very good food at a very reasonable price. My wife and I both had pizza for lunch (not sure if it is available at dinner), and our pies were perfectly cooked with fresh... More

Local seafood cooked in an excellent broth was great. A litre of very nice house red was 10 euro - my kinda place!
