We could not find a restaurant that took our fancy & stumbled on this backstreet restaurant. Glad we did as we both had excellent pizzas. Enjoyed sitting in the alley. Service was good & food very reasonably priced. Best pizza I've had on our travels.

My family and I went to Il Teatro recently during our holidays to Amalfi. I loved finding this little gem out of Amalfi's main street. The food was good and portions were large. I recommend the spaghetti alle vongole that were excellent and also the beef carpaccio. The wine was also very good. The atmosphere is really nice and friendly.... More

When in Amalfi, after visiting St. Andrews's magnificent Cathedral, and shopping around Amalfi's pedestrian main street, treat yourself to a typical local lunch by climbing a flight of steps on your left-hand side leaving behind the main square. You will find yourself in a maze of meandering streets, rock-cut and white-washed. Signs will entice you to visit Il Teatro restaurant.... More

We went here on the recommendation of a shop owner in the main square and it was a big hit with our whole group. Someone at our table even ordered the lasagna for dessert--it was that good. Great prices and friendly local atmosphere. We will be back!

Off the main drag in Amalfi, this charming spot is a winner ... Lots of Italians was a good sign. Ate in the festive alley out front (kids loved the lights). Food was uniformly very good. Waitress recommended octopus and potato antipasto when they were out of the octopus carpaccio and I loved this unique dish. Grilled swordfish and the... More

Very good gnocchi in the middle of Amalfi. My wife had spaghetti limone which she was satisfied with. Enough space for my family of four. Friendly staff. The restaurant is a little off but are easy to find.

Up some stairs from the Via Pietro Capuano you find a typical family-run trattoria with a friendly service, a wide choice of meat, fish, pizza and “fritti” for reasonable prices. Away from the bustle of the high street it is a cool retreat (in more than one way  )with both Italian as well as foreign clients. Highly recommended!

Such mixed reviews on this place but we loved it. Our waitress spoke great English and was very welcoming. We got the house Red wine. Margarita pizza, spinach ravioli and 4 cheese gnocchi. Then for dessert we had lemon sorbet and tiramisu. It was faultless and amazing. We were overwhelmed with the crowds and wanted something quiet and this was... More

We have been in this restaurant, we faced with very unfriendly staff, then relatively low quality food. Since waitress was so unprofessional she fully damaged a friend shirt by throwing oil on it. Finally we had super expensive bill. In one word something think of 1 second stop in this restaurant.

We asked if there was a table outside and the waitress just said no! We sat inside and after 5 minutes had a couple of menus thrown at us. We waited and waited and a large group arrived and wanted to sit together but our table was in the way. I called the waitress to say we would move to... More
