Cozy, classy space just up the main road from the piazza. They had one thing on the menu that I simply could not leave Amalfi without trying, fresh cheese sandwiched between lemon leaves and grilled to perfection. The Itailians call it a finisher. I would have it as a starter, a snack, a small meal...I'd make up reasons to eat... More

The food here was reasonably priced and the taste was magnificent. The staff was friendly and considering our large party, the food was cooked rather quickly. A must try!

The restaurant was full, which to me was a good sign. The staff were friendly, service good and we all enjoyed our meal. We received a complimentary bruschetta starter, which was a great surprise and thoroughly enjoyed.

We read reviews on trip advisor so seeked it out when we got here. It was packed when we arrived at 9pm so if you plan to go earlier maybe book. There's no view as in a cosy lane way but we didn't care. The menu is huge so we told the waiter what type of food we liked &... More

After looking through tripadvisor reviews decided to eat at il tari on our last night in Amalfi. We were not dissapointed with the food or service. It was a lovely restaurant, and the food was really delicious. After the complimentary bruschetta, we had the seafood starter to share, which had shrimp, scampi and calimari. It was so tasty! THere was... More

We went to Il Tari on the recommendation of the guide book, and we were not disappointed. The food is fantastic, the staff are lovely and the restaurant is traditional and understated - very cozy. And prices are reasonable too. It was so good, we went there for dinner twice! Nice to find such a gem!

As a suggestion of the Floridiana Hotel staff, we decided to go dinner at Il Tarí when we were in Amalfi. It's a simple "Trattoria", but with a quite ecletic menu. All 6 of us were glad with our choices and service was very nice and familiar. We liked it so much we decided to go there again the following... More

Unfortunately we were unable to stay in beautiful Amalfi more than one night. We stayed in a lovely hotel with great service and thought that the recommendation for a local restaurant would have been the same as our experience with the hotel owner and staff. Not so! When we first presented to the establishment we were told there was a... More

We ate at Il Tari three times during our stay in Amalfi. We had some great meals, including stuffed squid, grilled sea bass & cauliflower pasta. The real highlight was the seafood risotto, which was the best risotto we've had in Italy. The prices were very reasonable & the service was good.

We went here 3 times during our stay - great food, fresh fish, traditional amalfi cuisine - and in comparison to other restaurants not too expensive! loved it
