The welcome and friendly service, as well as the quality of the food and wine, really set this restaurant apart. I took the suggested menu with spaghetti al Congolese, branzino and ricotta cheesecake, with white wine from Ravello. I was in heaven. Don’t miss the...local limoncello!More

We dined at this restaurant during out first evening on the Amalfi coast, as it had been recommended by our hotel host. The service was perfect, the restaurant offers a (return) shuttle service from the surroundings and everyone in the place was kind and welcoming....We had the chance to taste an aperitivo on the terrace - with an amazing view on the sea - and had dinner inside afterwards. The food is really good, curated and particular, while also the portions are proper. Definitely recommended!More

At one point this was the only restaurant on the road high up overlooking Amalfi. It became famous in the 1930s when Fiat hosted a convention there. Now run by the fourth generation of family members this is something special. Here's what I liked; ·...Exceptionally good service. Subtle, non pushy and multi lingual. · You are invited to sit on the terrace overlooking the bay with an aperitivo whilst perusing the menu which is given to you on an iPad. · Once your food is ready you are taken to your table for an amouse-bouche which here includes a small selection of the most delicious house made breads. Light and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. · My absolute recommendation is the risotto. This ranks amongst the most delicious foods I have ever tasted. · The restaurant is immaculate yet not stuffy in any sense of the word. What I didn't like; · Not having enough time to eat more · Parking is a bit tricky. They have a small car park (no valet my American friends!) and if you're not a confident driver and unahappy navigatint small spaces at speed, the Italians do not like to hang around on the road, then you may well end up over the edge doing a Grace Kelly. Was it good value? YES* Would I recommend it? YES Will I return? YES Overall a delicious lunch and well worth a visit. Food was great, staff was super kind and prepared, wine was amazing, view from the terrace was breathtaking, dessert (ricotta e pere) was superb! Only flaw was the absence of air conditioning in a very hot evening (or maybe there was one, but it wasn’t...strong enough) combined with a slow service (we were there from 9 PM till midnight to finish our dinner). Thank God there was a wonderful terrace facing the rocky seaside with a pleasant breeze. Considering the value for money I can definitely recommend this place.More

This is a wonderful family run restaurant with well made good Italian food locally sourced and ingredients often come from the families land . They picked us up from our hotel and dropped us back . We had the taster menu but cancelled the desserts...as we just couldn’t fit any more food in . Dishes were tasty great standard and the pre dinner drinks and pre dinner treats were enjoyed on the balcony with a fabulous view ! This restaurant is an absolute must if you Visit amalfi , my advice would be just have 3 courses and enjoy , I hope to go back for dessert one day . They also gave us a lovely homemade bottle of limoncello to take away as we didn’t have our desserts . Lovely experienceMore

This was one of two superb places we visited during our week-long stay on the Amalfi coast. Located on a small promontory, close to Amalfi itself, the dining area looks out on the Amalfi Coast and offers incredible views, including great sunsets. The modern, clean...restaurant is impeccably furnished and offers a great selection of local favorites refined to the most selective tastes. Four brothers run the restaurant: one runs the kitchen, another, the wine program, the third and fourth attend the guests in the dining area. The selection of wines and liquors is outstanding and you will enjoy a leisurely, delicate meal, while being pampered by careful, attentive servers.More

We had a wonderful dining experience. The view with a drink prior to dinner was great. My wife and I had the tasting menu which was exceptional.

Wonderful food and service, with a view to match. The staff could not have been more helpful and informative. Also, a complementary pick -up from our hotel was very much appreciated. Here is the "but": the serving sizes are minuscule. If you don't mind having...very small offerings of several dishes, then it rates a 5. However, I will give it a 4 due to the value offered by the small food sizes.More

I think it is quite far... it is in the town of Amalfi, and Syrene seems to be about an hour away.
