We had had already had antipasto (in the cafe in the library - very good G&T with nibbles) so didn't want a lot to eat - a primo and possibly a dolce. Pasta? Can't go wrong in Italy.....

We arrived in Matera late on a quiet January weeknight, and our hotel pointed us in the direction of La Talpa which was still serving food.
