Typical Italian restaurant, especially for those who love meat. Great value for money, good ingredients, well cooked and with wonderful wines. Service was perfect. We certainly would come back here.

We had a great dinner at Francesca's, we shared different starters and pasta dishes, and all were delicious and plenty of them. Looking forward to visiting Matera and this place again.

The restaurant offers a good choice of traditional dishes, but they revisit them and match the ingredients in an innovative way. Top-quality local ingredients and perfect service make your stay unforgettable. Among their desserts, you should definitely taste their "cassata": simply delicious! Good quality/service ratio...and friendly staff.More

Cannot recommend Francesca highly enough. We shrewd the selection of 5 regional starters as an appetiser. I chose lamb as the main course which was delicious and plentiful. Lovely ambience and lovely excellent attentive and professional staff. Booking essential.

Were recommended to visit by the owner of our accommodation, who also recommended we book The decor is lovely and creates a really good ambience Tables were well spaced Service was friendly, helpful and efficient We shared the entree of 5 different typical dishes which...could have been a meal in itself They contained a nice range of flavours and textures This was followed by four excellent pastas and a rocket and tomato salad All were tasty and good portion sizes Bottles of a local red accompanied the meal This was a fitting way to finish our stay in this amazing part of the worldMore

Meal here was very enjoyable. The gnocchi my partner had and the orecchiette with favs bean purée I had were delicious. The beef melted in your mouth and was cooked to perfection. With the meal accompanied with a wine from Basilicata the meal was perfect.

After reading the raving reviews we decided to head there for a romantic dinner. The atmosphere and decorations reminded us of a school cafeteria, the waiters were inattentive, the menu had barely any meat free options and the wine menu with its tattered sheet protectors...would be something I’d expect in a cheap bar at a train station. After getting our water and bread we were ignored so we paid for that and left. Too many lovely places to waste one’s time and money here.More

Absolutely amazing place, food and staff!! We had a cheese and salumi platter. I'm with stracciatella cheese, so creamy! We had pasta as a main, unfortunately, boyfriend had gnocchi and I had the Tripola Maritata. Highly recommended :)
