Three of us sat for late lunch. We had the menu of the day. €14.50. Great salad with lots of ingredients. The others had cuttlefish which they enjoyed. The chicken and rabbit paella was fresh, moist and plentiful. Flan pudding was lovely. Friendly staff. Lovely sangria. Helpful with my coeliac friend. All round a great stop.

This Resaurant serves paella that I insisted was fish because I do not eat meat the only meat I will eat is fish and therefore I was expecting my paella to be extraordinary. It was with great disappointment when my paella arrived that I found it to be lacking somewhat of fish and in fact the it's was mainly thick... More

The food was okay and service good. It was an important part of a day out in Albufera. We spent a pleasant couple of hours in the February sunshine.

Tapas bravas with ketchup, Anguilla sauce very average, Calamari a la plancha - not clean enough and not enough done, Vegetable paella average.

Traditional Valencian paella washed down with jugs of Sangria and followed by ice cream - just what was needed on a hot day after the boat trip around Albufera. The staff are very polite and helpful and they have a large outdoor seating area good for big groups and couples alike. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Not the most lovely surrondings in La Palmar but the food was excellent, the sangria was some of the best i have had and the price couldn't be beat.

Despite the initial misunderstanding with Planta's staff we managed to get menu in English and a waitress who spoke English. We really liked the food, especially deserts. We had eel with green garlic (yum!), snails (they ran out of sea snails on that day, but that's ok), sea food soup and lobster soup (this one was very average though; the... More

El Palmar has many restaurants and, as is so often the case, the menus take on a daunting similarity. On a one-off visit how do you chose between them? We went to the Planta Azul for lunch because of its tranquil canalside location. Our choice of starters included roasted Mediterranean vegetables and toasted goats cheese, which were good. I chose... Excellent Paella, great menu for 15€ - great value for money. Place is also very family-friendly - ample space for push-chairs.
