I was over for a few days with my best mate who is a bit of foodie /gourmand and read reviews so booked it.thank God I did! It's a bit away from the centre of town so we walked over on the afternoon and decided we'd head over as it looked interesting. The service and food and wine are spectacular.so... More

My Valenciana colleagues brought me to Casa Montana--they were clearly well known with the management and a table(ish) was quickly procured. What followed was a 90 minute exercise in indulgence as octopus, calamari, tuna, potatoes of every sort, unknown yet incredibly tasty things and of course copious amounts of red wine. While almost a caricature of what Americans think tapas... More

Found this place on leaflet 'Valencia Restaurant week' 20€ for lunch, which is probably quite expensive for everyday lunch, however we thought it really delicious and superb quality compared to some of the mediocre tapas previously experienced. We probably wouldn't have known what to choose i.e. comparable to what we had on the menu - marinated tuna, smoked eel, fishy(?)... More

This is a very traditional spanish tapas bar. The food and atmosphere is excellent. Staff are very welcoming. Happy to help you with recommendations and made us feel very welcome.

Casa Montana is tucked away in the old fisherman's quarter of Valencia, but it's worth seeking out. It's always very busy and buzzing and probably best to book. The front is more casual, but quite a squeeze as you sit on stools at tables in a dark wooden interior, with wine barrels on each wall. Through the back (you have... More

Best dinner in Valencia in one of the oldest restaurant of the city, located in one of the most characteristic neighborhood. Original tapas and rich flavors all night long. Nice wine or beer pairing. Warm and friendly waitress. A little wait for the table but it's worth it all! I wish Casa Montana was closer to Ny to come back... More

If you come to Valencia and you are a tourist, you will not be able to escape Casa Montaña. And if you avoid it actively, as I did, your friends, who have come also to Valencia, will persuade you to go there. This place appears in all tourist guides, I suppose because of its decoration. Once you arrive there, and... More

We only had 2 days in Valencia and I am very glad we made the trip here for lunch. We did not book, but arrived as it opened for lunch service and they managed to squeeze us in at the back. The tuna in 7 spices was delicious, smooth croquettes and fabulous sardines. Great service and brilliant value food. It... More

Can’t recommend highly enough! Well worth the detour for this authentic experience, and a good excuse to visit this interesting, un-touristy part of town (must be visited before they pull down all the original old fisherman’s houses). Great atmosphere sat at the wonderful original art nouveau period front bar surrounded by the old casks of vermouth. The barman recommended some... More

I have eaten here twice and both times were amazing although we ordered different tapas. Food is very good! Really cute and typical spanish. I would recommend to make a reservation, maybe even multiple days in advance!
