Traveling from Madrid to Benidorm we found this restaurant on the App and thought let's have a good Paella. The place is not easy to find, we arrived at around 14.30. Although most of the tables were unoccupied we were told that everything was reserved. The person did not speak English, we felt like we were not welcome as tourists.... More

We wanted to find a place with a really good paella, and we did . Our paella was one of the best that I've ever had, The service was fantastic, they really helped us with the wine and the starters. We had an amazing afternoon, and we will be back soon.

In a hidden part of Valencia, this restaurant serves the best authentic paella in all of the city. Cooked over orange wood the way the farmers did originally, the flavor is unique. This restaurant serves only lunch and only paella and the 10 tables are filled with locals. Find it and be amazed. The owner, Oscar, is lovely and passionate... More

I'have been here in 2011 thanks to suggest of one of my colleague from Valencia as place for valencian people, not tourists. They cook paella on fire indeed, they only have paella and a couple of starters. It's really rare fond place like this. I'm italian and I know what mean to eat

We arrived at 2 pm without reservation and the place was almost empty. In 30 minutes all tables were occupied, mainly by locacals. It was a Thursday and did not expect to be so many people. As expected, the waiters do not speak english and i think that's the reason why they were a little reluctant to tourists. We ordered... More

In spite staff does not speak english, the reception was super friendly. The restaurant is not in the city center - easily reached by taxi; Original appetizers, other than the most common tapas, excellent wine (Las Ocho, a blend of 8 different varieties) well recommended by one of the guys , but above all ... her majesty the paella de... My wife and I had a meal here at around 2pm in the afternoon. Most restaurants in Spain close at 4pm but don't like taking customers past 3:15pm The manager or owner (light hair & beard) was found to be very unwelcoming and cold as we approached him for a table with our big smiles being happy to be there.... Dear Michaël, We regret your experience at El Racó de la Paella was not so good as we liked. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy with the Valencian Paella you tasted and unfortunatly we didn't understand you when you asked the leftover Paella to take away because for us it is something really usual. On the other hand we... More

As a paella chef we visited to try an authentically prepared and cooked paella. If you have never had one before you must visit this restaurant. This was a taste explosion of perfection. Rafa is a paella chef of the first order. Edrick Corban-Banks: Embajador del Concurs de Paella Valenciana de Sueca en el Pacifico, Chef/Director Casa Paella Tasmania/new Zealand.
