Visited late morning to try the traditional horchata (tiger nut drink) and pastries which this place is famed for; just delicious! Good coffee too. Nice tiled decor inside and out. Good swift service, and would suggest it to any visitor to Valencia. We didn't try any, but the churros looked amazing as well. Good value for money.

There are local delicacies of all sorts in Spain. Many think of paella as the "national dish" although, strictly speaking, it is of Valencian origin. What about horchata? "What's horchata?", you ask. Well, it's a milk drink made from chufas (tiger nuts to you and me). It is often very sweet, served chilled, and it is an excellent afternoon cooler.... More

When I saw the place I was afraid it was going to be another trap for tourists but I had a very nice surprise. Not only the way this bar looks like, but the churros con chocolate and the horchata were exactly how they were supposed to be. The staff was friendly and they surved quite fast. If you want... We had tried here the famous horchata ( milk made from a nut) and also the traditional farton ( a local pastry). We enjoyed our delicious sweet snack, the place was clean and the service was quick and friendly. If you visit Valencia, this will be a good place to stop for a sweet treat. Go, Explore and Enjoy.

Went here for their Horxata's and Farton's , it was delicious. They are known for being the best in Valencia and they did not disappoint. I would go at least once for the experience. Their restaurant is beautiful inside.

A must-visit when in Valencia. I had the classic horchata. Beautiful, classic interior. Over 100 years old. Very similar to the classic Gines in Madrid, near the Plaza Mayor, home of classic chocolate con churros.

Enjoyed a good horchata with fartons. Colorful atmosphere, right by Plaza de la Reina. I'd say it is a touristic place, but the quality is good and the experience is positive overall.

I went in search of the Horchateria Santa Catalina as I had read it in another review. The interior is lovely and beautiful tiles cover the walls in a very traditional way. But that's kind of where it ended. I mentioned to the girl I had never tried Horchata before and she said it was just very sweet, which put... More

Located just off the southwest corner of Plaza de la Reina in Valencia's central Old Town, Horchateria Santa Catalina is a quaint establishment where tourists and locals alike can get coffees, cold beverages and pastries. Most notably, one can get horchata, a cool, tooth-achingly sweet cold beverage consisting of blended local tiger nuts. Often consumed alongside this are fartons, which... More
