This has become my to go place for authentic horchata de chufa and fartons. The chocolate with churros are also excellent, but the horchata wins hands down. It could be a little crowded during the day, but waiting is worth every second.

We were told this is the best place to go to taste the horchata in Valencia. I don’t know if it’s true but it was very good and refreshing, the pastries were fresh, and the place is charming. What else?

We arrived about mod afternoon and whilst it wasn't too busy downstairs we were directed to a table upstairs as there was 8 of us. We had lots of churros and some fartons along with tea coffee and hot chocolate. It was all really delicious.

We went to this place late in the afternoon and didn't have to fight for a table, although there are tables on the first floor as well as on the ground floor. The decoration takes you back decades and it's worth sitting down soaking up...the ambiance and taking a break from the very hot temperatures outside. We ordered the ubiquitous Spanish drink, Horchata, which was very refreshing. Not everyone likes the taste but if you a fan of soya milk, you will be fan of this too. We ordered some fartons too. These were fluffly stick shaped buns that are meant to be dunked into the Horchata but are equally nice to eat on their own. Our tour guide recommended this place and we were not disappointed.More

We were searching for such a place in order to live the atmosphere of pure spanish traditional pastry/ caffeteria. In fact "Horchateria Santa Catalina" is an Horchateria (place that offers Horachatas), which probably is the best in Valethia. The atmosphere was exactly as we imagined...and the service ready to serve. You can have a glass of a traditional Horchata or a cappucino with Horchata accompanied with traditional churros. A place to be.More

Staying at The SH Valencia Palace a perfect location to explore Valencia. 15 minutes walk into the bustle of Valencia with it’s beautiful buildings, cafes and all over Ambiance. We used the 48 hour Red bus to pick up and drop off at 17 different...locations all over the city. Valencia has everything from history, historical buildings, a bull ring, a dried up river bed which has been made into a path/ scooter & bike path with dissects the city and will take you from the heart of Valencia all the way to the beach passing through the modern futuristic science, botanical, area out to a beautiful beach with beach restaurants aplentyMore

Delicious Horchata and Frotans, and very pretty tiling pictures here. But, like a previous reviewer, I to too experienced a mild allergic reaction (I have nut allergy, and even though the tiger nut is not a nut, I reacted albeit mildly). But would recommend to...experience the classic combo of Valencia!More

If you are at Valencia, you should go there and try horchata and fartons or hot chocolate and churros (to dip them in your hot chocolate). The hot chocolate is thicker than you might know from Austria, Swiss or Germany. But it is perfect to...dip your churro in. Horchateria Santa Catalina is an institution in Valencia - comparable with Cafe Sacher in Vienna or Cafe Tomaselli / Cafe Fürst in Salzburg. Our waitress was very frindly. We enjoyed our time there. A lot people just pop in to pick up their take away drinks.More

Located in the heart of Barrio El Carmen, next to the tower of the Church of Santa Catalina, Horchateria de Santa Catalina is a must stop in Valencia if you want to try authentic Horchatas and Fartons. Inside you can see the ornate ceramic tiles...throughout. Recommendations: Order one horchata to share since it's a flavor you either love or hate. And definitely order fartons, churros, and hot chocolate for dipping.More

Having heard so much about the famous beverage we looked forward to the taste. And where better than this centuries old venerable institution. Arriving mid-afternoon in February we had full choice of seating. Our drinks and fartons were very tasty. Surrounded with the grand ornate...décor, all added to an enjoyable occasion.More

I went there twice during my three days in Valencia. I really love the drinks, farton and clabaza donut. I think the hot chocolate that they offer to dip the donut with is a little bit unnecessary if u have tried churro with chocolate before....The service is amazing and very helpful. There is a line waiting but the waiting time is not long cuz the food is served fast.More

A century old place! Marriages made in heaven: horchata+farton and churro+chocolate! It’s a must-go place while you are in Valencia. Best for a late afternoon snack.
