Whenever in Valencia we visit this Horchateria at Santa Catalina. The service is always great. I recommend the Horchata (obviously) and the encimadas.

Chocolate is very good, churros good enough - as another recent reviewer remarked, they are not freshly made for you,but the turnover must be such that the churros aren't around long before arriving at your table. What lets Santa Catalina down is rushed service of very variable quality; this is a high-throughput tourist stopover, not somewhere to linger and enjoy... More

We looked in from the street and it was a must have. We were surprised to find a table Sunday afternoon, it was full but everything was moving extremely fast. The place is more than 100 years old and it keeps a high standard. We took aqua de horchata, hot chocolate, the bunuelos donuts and vanilla farton , all very... More

I like so much this place, with history and located very near of the "Plaza Redonda". Horchata and "bolleria" are delicious, a must to do in Valencia

We decided to visit to try the fartos (traditional pastry) and horchata but couldn't resist the churros and hot chocolate either. A traditional tiles interior with a very friendly and helpful waitress, a nice start to the day

Went here to try the famous horchata and fartos. Nice and friendly staff, and cosy interior. The horchata tasted like nothing I have ever tasted before, but I guess it is a good horchata:)

With much excitement and recommendations from our friend who'se family comes from Valencia, we ordered our Churros and chocolatine. High expectations from this highly rated institution brought much disappointment. It was good but not excellent. The Churros were ordered and out on our table in seconds which means they had been made beforehand. No sugar over the churros. Sugar was... More

Greeted by friendly staff, prices very reasonable, my wife and daughter were very impressed with the Hot chocolate and Churros just wished we could have stopped a little longer.

If you are tired from walking and need a sugar rush, I cannot recommend this place enough. The churros are excellent and so is the horchata. We ended up having double portions of churros (dipped in lovely and thick hot chocolate, of course!)

A must try local drink made from tiger nuts. This establishment is along the beaten tourist path so probably top price. It seems to be a stop for tour groups but they seem to process them quickly so not much of a wait if you get behind them. I also enjoyed a horchata from a street vendor also in a... More
