Blackbird coffee is a great cafe, brunch, or breakfast spot in Ruzafa. It reminds me of a typical trendy cafe back home (USA). We had orange juice, Avocado toast, bacon/egg breakfast sandwich, and a cinnamon roll for the table. All tasted excellent, especially the cinnamon roll and avocado toast!
Make sure to order at the counter inside first, then they will bring it to your table. The atmosphere is nice whether you sit in or outside, but be prepared for a small wait and a crowded cafe. Do not go here if you want to sit for many hours/work on a computer, there are often too many people with a few waiting.
Overall, I would highly recommend Blackbird!

Many please have very high quality pastries with not the best coffee... This place is a coffee shop with great pastries. While it's possible to find even better espresso and cakes, there is not one with both, which is Blackbird

Excellent coffee, one of the best in the city. The brioche rolls with orange and cardomom are expertedly baked and highly delicious. Coffee prices are pretty good, for the quality too. And a good amount of seating outside.

Avoid this place. Coffee bought in the shop was not hot, the staff was surly and unsuited to work with the public. The coffee grounds we bought produced the worst coffee I’ve ever consumed. Did they soak it in urine before selling? Maybe the food is good. It would need to be fantastic. Go somewhere else.

I really enjoyed my vegan avocado toast, with a tahini sauce to die for and the vegan banana bread, really tasty. My husband ordered the Turkish eggs which he also enjoyed a lot. Excellent chocolate cookies and very attentive service.

Blackbird in Ruzafa is so welcoming and not only did they greet me with a smile, they helped me perfect my ordering in Spanish (always a work in progress!!).
Great oat milk latte. Very good flavor and smooth. Served with a glass of water, a nice touch. I also enjoyed an almond brioche. Yummy and ALL HOUSE MADE in a bakery kitchen you can watch them work in.
Location is wonderful, very close to the Mercat and the heart of this vibrant barrio. The space is open and airy with seating that is comfy and eclectic.
So be a good little bird and fly on over to get your fix at Blackbird. You will thank me immediately after!

Having visited on a busy Saturday morning, I was disappointed with the lack of attention from the waiting staff. They seemed to be running around and not caring for the customers. That being said, the food (while a little pricy) was delicious! Overall a nice breakfast but I won’t be rushing back.

My husband and I fell in love with this delightful breakfast cafe. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, and they spoke excellent English which was great for us! This is a cozy cafe with amazing fresh food - and the desserts! I cannot say enough about how excellent they are! But above all THE CINNAMON ROLL! It was heaven on a plate. Dogs are welcome which is awesome. Can't rate this place highly enough!

Awesome breakfast!
I went for a late breakfast, the food is amazing. I had the avocado toast (highly recommend) and a cookie (also very good). You order at the counter and then they come with the food. The staff is also nice!

Nice coffee, charming place, nice to sit in & outside, good service, good quality food. yoghurt with granola is really good. In the middle of Russafa area. I would highly recommend this place full of locals.

Great place right next to the Mercado de Ruzafa. Nice coffeehouse with a limited choice in both drinks and sweets. However it'll probably cater to your tastes if you're not too picky. Ample sidewalk seating and quick and friendly service.

If you go to blackbird you have to have either the avistado toast or Turkish eggs, they are the best breakfasts I have had in Valencia!

Friendly staff. While the portions were somewhat on the small side, the food was very tasty. Good coffee. Especially the filter.
