It was the last day of an intense week of hospital visits and uncertainties. I needed something new and different, something to inspire the eye and satisfy the palate. They packed up a smorgasboard of tapas so I could transport them on my bike. Couldn't have chosen a better way to brighten spirits and hearts. A perfect way to bring... More

Perfect place for a glass of wine and some pinchos, watching the crowd walk by to/from the Place of the Queen... Nice variety of pinchos and high quality ingredients guarantee a great pre dinner experience (should you still be hungry).

Ended up giving thisnplace a whirl after seeing some good reviews and it lived up to the reviews. The restaurant is a fancy choice for a meal out and it shows in the prices, the meal came in at 110 Euros for 2 people, 2 courses and 2 glasses of wine each, which is comparable with London prices back home.... I have visited this basque pintxo (tapas) bar every time in Valencia. Downstairs bar is very popular. As always you can pick up pintxos from the bar counter but warm pintxos are served. They have a large variety of pintxos and all are good quality. When you are ready to pay they count the cocktailsticks (pintxosticks) how many you have... More

But I had to say I felt a bit disappointed. Sure, the food is good, but it's not really so special. I just didn't find the food fresh enough and I expected a bit more of hot tapas selection; they were quite rare to find. Nice place, but nothing to write home.

I went to Sagardi because of the so many positive reviews I had read here. I had to say though I was a bit disappointed. Sure, the food is good, but it's not really that great. I just didn't find the food fresh enough - maybe it was the time of the day, went there early evening/late afternoon - and... More

The food was very good, the service was excellent, the wine recommended by the waiter was excellent, but the total bill for a family of five was over Euro 150 which is at least 50% more expensive than other excellent restaurants in the area such as Jamon Jamon, Refugio, La Pappardelle, and Bodega de la Sarieta. The charcoal cooked aged... More

A beer or cava and some pintxo (small bit sized pieces of bread with various toppings) , perfect!! All of which we tried were delicious. Seating outside and in, with cold pintxos on a self serve bar, and hot ones offered around by the attentive waiting staff. Each pintxo is on a cocktail stick, and you pay by the number... More
