I usually give places the benefit of the doubt after reading bad reviews on Tripadvisor. Silly me. Believe all the negative reviews you read for Nautilus. Shocking service, shocking food, shocking prices and shocking atmosphere.
We had eaten at the restaurant punta prima a few nights before, so our expectations were high.
We had pre booked a table, and upon arrival discovered there was no record of the booking. We were offered another table, no apology or acknowledgment.
The service...at the restaurant was sloppy and felt rushed, even though it wasn’t busy.
The food was average and although the prices are similar to restaurant punta prima, the quality is inferior
When paying the bill, no eye contact, no thank you.
For all those reading this review, restaurant punta prima is much better in every wayMore
Poor customer service again. Such a lovely setting. it’s a shame it’s spoilt by the terrible service. We left yesterday after trying to get the waiters attention several times Always the same. I think that will be our final attempt now. Such a shame.
Weve been here for drinks previously so booked a table for an evening meal. Couldnt fault any of the food that we ordered, garlic prawns, special prawns, ribs, pork cheek, cod and salmon. Everything was fantastic. White wine and red wine both lovely and a...tasty dessert to finish. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend a visitMore
Paella’s were really salty with not much seafood in. No finger bowls for the prawn shells. Left a nasty salty taste in our mouths.
Waitress was disinterested and came across as arrogant. The menus were plonked in a pile on the table. We only got...one drink with no opportunity to ask for more, which after salty food we were desperate for. They did once ask if everything thing was ok, I don’t think they really cared.
One of the glasses was chipped and cracked and the tables were cheap plastic fold up camping tables.
To top it off, when we went to pay, they round the card entry up to the nearest 10Euros without asking. We told them to remove it and charge the correct amount. They certainly didn’t deserve a tip and we would never go back there again.More
We booked our table for 8pm & we arrived prompt.
We ordered our wine & at the same time they wanted our food order. No time to think so my husband ordered the pork filet & i ordered the sole & also some bread. Wine...arrived immediately & within 5mins our meals, we couldn’t believe it was so quick, we hadn’t even tasted the wine. My fish was so dried out as it had been cooked quite a while previously & my husbands pork was so tough he couldn’t chew it.
We complained & the server was very abrupt & said my Fish was dry because it was frozen fish & that i would be better with fresh sole & my husband would be better with the Pork cheek. It arrived within seconds of him going into the kitchen & only that we were hungry we ate it because my fish was rubbery with no seasoning bland & no taste & a few watery potatoes. My Husbands pork cheek was cold & again with no flavour.
We got the bill & to our surprise my fish was €9 more expensive than my original order when I queried this i was told it was because it was fresh. Nowhere on their menu does it offer frozen or fresh sole.
We paid & when leaving i asked to speak to a manager I was told there was no one called that there.
Lots of plates where going back to the kitchen half full yet no one was complaining.
What a Waste of money when there are so many lovely places to eat nearbyMore
My third dinner in the upstairs part of the restaurant. Was excellent in the previous visits and this time I was totally underwhelmed. There was no atmosphere. It felt the waiter was doing us a favour serving us. They took the order and then came...back saying we had to pay more for fresh rather than frozen, as he explained that the frozen fish wasn’t very good! Didn’t believe him and didn’t say anything so as not to spoil the evening. We had asked for a window seat, overlooking the sea. The windows were filthy so that was of not value. The avocado was unripe, as was the replacement avocado that came with the excuse of it being evening and it was at the bottom of the box - have you ever…!!!!! Personally, with such a wide and wonderful choice and variety of restaurants in Torrevieja I would never have a meal at the upstairs restaurant again. It was a lot of money for a disappointing experience.More
We have just had sunday lunch here. Came in without delay. Sat and waited for menu, it never came, se had to Ask for it. We Aldo had to Ask for drinks. Food came very quickly, the same time as the drinks. Food was good....Sat and waited for desert menu but this never came. Had to Ask twice for the bill. Service level is just over zero. This is sad as the location is fantasticMore
We are regulars at Nautilus, and have eaten here at last 100 times over the years. This is a bit difficult to write. The food here is fantastic, the location is superb. And that is probably why this restaurant will always be packed whatever reviews...they get. So the sad part with this restaurant. The staff are unobservant, rude, unprofessional and I cannot understand why the management don't interfere. This could have been the best restaurant on the coastline. But they throw it all away on a very unprofessional staff. Really sad.More
