Since 2005, when Christopher’s Restaurant was first founded by Christopher Caine, we’ve been offering an award-winning, fine dining experience to residents and holidaymakers in the Torrevieja area. We’re proud of the reputation that we’ve built. We also know that to remain among the top restaurants in Torrevieja as rated on tripadvisor.com, we must continually push to improve and innovate: Executive Chef, Neil Lloyd, regularly updates our menu to ensure our guests enjoy the finest food. Our Maitre D’, Sergiy Solomka, makes sure our wine list offers a vino that compliments every dish. Our front of house staff offer an attentive but non-intrusive service recognised as the best on the Costa Blanca…
All reviews lamb liver prawn cocktail lobster cheesecake prawns potatoes sunday lunch fine dining great menu front of house three courses visited this restaurant excellent value for money lovely evening excellent food and service set menu
Have not been here for years now but advertised Sunday lunch. It was really nice, prawn starter, lamb with mint sauce for main, then crumble with custard. Due to vivid the tables were less and you felt there was time constraints as we felt you...were being rushed to leave. Good service but too fast to the next plate.More
We had a 3 course menu for €19.95 and it was delicious. Very good good for a very reasonable price. And the desserts..... ♡ not to mention the stuff, very friendly and very nice and they keep an eye if you need anything else.
Keep...up the good work! We'll come backMore
If you google “best Sunday lunch in Torrevieja” you find Restaurant Christopher and after reading their website and reviews we thought we were in luck. Especially as the pic was of beautifully cooked (pink) roast beef. How wrong I was! My husband asked for beef,...nice and pink. The waiter looked puzzled. “No, it’s not pink, it’s properly cooked roast beef” he said. We tried to explain that roast beef doesn’t have to be well done but he seemed unable to grasp this fact. He did check with the chef, obviously the Executive?! Chef Neil but confirmed that it didn’t come that way. We opted for roast pork and lamb. Then I realised why the beef wasn’t pink - if this chef actually cooked joints of beef or lamb rather than heated it from pre-sliced packets then I’ll willingly apologise. Yorkies had soggy bottoms and again I’d be surprised if they were made in house by a chef. Starters and desserts were also nothing to write home about. Everything was pretty bland and tasteless. Their website is blatant mis-representation and this so called executive chef should be ashamed to call himself that.More
I have been 3 times in the last couple of weeks ,the food is top class, and the staff can’t do enough for you, my wife is a coeliac and struggles, not hear they are very good no problem they can’t do enough
We were invited here by friends for our first visit, but I can say with certainty that it won’t be our last!
I was glad our friends knew where it was as I don’t think I would have found it otherwise, definitely a hidden gem....We were greeted warmly and seated in the main part of the dining room and drinks arrived quickly. Every member of staff we spoke to was polite, friendly and kept us smiling throughout the meal (especially who I later found out to be the owner)
When I looked on the website I was a bit confused about the menus as there are a few, but it’s actually really simple - you order what you want and it fits into one of a few price brackets. The value for money is superb.
I had garlic prawns to start - seeped in flavour and served with some bread to mop up the sauce, then had duck with plum sauce, dauphinois potato and veg as my main - absolutely beautiful - duck cooked perfectly and the creamy potato matched it well. Dessert was just the right size of chocolate fondant to satisfy that sweet tooth.
We were a table of 4 and everyone enjoyed their food. With main meals including 2 steaks and a braised lamb shank 2 bottles of wine the final bill of €140 was a pleasant surprise.
It’s a little out of the way for us, but we will define return - thank you to all.More
We’ve just had a lovely evening at this restaurant, the chap who ran or owned the place was friendly and good fun , we had the fixed evening 3 course menu fo 16€, it was well worth the money. Lovely starters, and desserts. Do visit...if you get a chance and it is right next to the Motorhome park tooMore
Staff nice enough still at this restaurant, our return visit after our first visit about 7 years ago.
I’m not sure the menu has changed much in that time - perhaps a good thing if you enjoy what’s on offer.
We came with our 2...year old this time and it felt that she wasn’t as welcome there as she could have been by one of the staff, he looked quite annoyed we’d brought her - but perhaps we caught him on an off day - or that’s just the way he is generally. She’s eaten at Michelin star restaurants and is well behaved, otherwise we’d not go out to eat as we’d hate to be one of those families that spoil things for others - so that wasn’t nice to felt judged.
We were complimented by almost all of the other patrons in the resturant throughout the evening as to how well behaved our daughter was 😍
There’s even less space to park than we remember but that’s ok. I don’t think it would be a great place to go if you wanted to eat outside, and there’s not really a view.
The place is quite pricey and I think it’s over priced for what you get.
That said, it was fine but nothing show stopping to recommend to others as somewhere to go.More
