I spent a year studying in Spain so know the language and cuisine well. Having been to many tapas restaurants in my life I have to say this was NOT one of the best. The pintxos were average at best and I found the staff to be rude and incredibly arrogant, they certainly weren't as friendly as others we had... More

This bar is very traditional and soon gets busy. I love the pinxtos. The selection this time did not seem as varied as previous visits. It just depends when you turn up, plus not the cheapest, but gets marks for it overall atmosphere.

Went with a friend as we spotted the rewiews on this site. The pinchos were mouth watering. I ordered the fuaxgras and una copa de nevarra. It's main draw back is that it's so popular! There are plenty of other bars close to this one...so my tip is to move from one to another. And enjoy the Spanish lifestyle:)

Spent a couple of relaxing and enjoyable days meandering through the old town of Pamplona on way to San Sebastián. There were many great Pintxos bars all around the town centre, and Bar Gaucho was probably the best ..... At least it was the only one we went back to a second time! My Wife rated the Foie Gras dish... More

On the one of the quaint corners in Pamplona old town, this place came recommended. It didn't disappoint. Great Pintxos. Lovely atmosphere. Bar staff speak little English, but you get by that. It all adds to the experience!

This is a wonderful place nesting beside Plaza Castillo and to the nice hotel Europa. You will be delighted with the assortment of tapas, good advice, ambience and a wonderful selection of glass by the wine. Service is very professional. End your tapas with the usual recommendation of Pacharan or a well served Gin Tonic!

One of the fashionables "Pinchos's Bar" in the Pamplona city center. Close to Estafeta Street, you will discover the newest way to cook pinchos. It's always full of people (Locals and foreigns), you will be lucky if you take a seat inside. Most probably you will eat stand in the street. you have to taste the "Grilled Liver" and the... More

This is a fabulous pub to meet at. We visited Pamplona during San Fermin and visited Bar Gaucho a few times. It is very busy and has a great atmosphere. Despite the crowds the bar staff are excellent.

If you are in Pamplona for San Fermin like us or probably any other time this is a very popular hangout. In the city close to the bullfighting arena it's a good spot to meet before or after the arena . Good tapas on the bar as well if you are looking to put a lining on the stomach.
