Doesn't have the appearance or feel of a luxury restaurant but the quality of the raw materials and the cooking is second to none. A recommendation is to try what the maitre suggests. There is an excellent selection of wines at reasonable prices. Everything was good but we particularly enjoyed the crab filled pasta pockets and runny omelette with white... More

The place was a bit difficult to find but worthwhile to search! A traditional restaurant in a residential part of Madrid. A short menu based on fresh arrivals. We shared 3 starters, which were all excellent, the fried artichokes deserve a special mention. For main course we had fish, which was well prepared. The service was great.

I dined here last night with 3 friends. Never mind that the restaurant is located at the back of a small street, and it's number doesn't relate to its location, somehow the food we had didn't come up to the expectations and hype created in the reviews. We had mussels, artichoke, sardines in white sauce for shared starters. So far... More

Not the easiest place to find, but well worth the effort. From Castellana follow Juan Hurtado de Moendoza to the end, turn left at El Olvido, Rubaiyat restaurant is next door. Turn left down the alley there and you will find the blue outside of Sacha further along the same building. The restaurant itself simply oozes tradition, it feels like... More

This is a small but great restaurant in the business district north of Bernabéu Stadium. It has the reputation of being a place where many chefs from other restaurants dine (according to my cab driver and a NYT article). The address of the restaurant is the front of the building. Sacha is located on the back of the building so... More

I actually live very near this lovely restaurant but never would have found it without the recommendation of a gourmet food fan friend of mine! Very nicely prepared dishes, very unique! The "villagodeo" sliced beef is superb!

All the charm of an old family bistro, but the ingenuity and refinement trumping many Michelin joints. Was recommended by a chef friend who formerly worked at Noma so I had high expectations, and wasn't disappointed. Service can seem a bit aloof initially - especially if you're not a local - but they warm up very well. There are no... More

This is a phenomenal small restaurant. A hidden gem, not easy to find, but just fantastically authentic. Fortunately went there with a Spanish client who explained we’d like to share dishes, not tapas, but main plates. A selection of their favourite dishes arrived, separated out on to three plates for each of us dining. We ate five plates between three,... More

By far one of the best and most imagainitve meals I have had in Madrid. We started with home smoked sardines, followed by omlette with truffle shavings, then a bone marrow dish with steak filets as a side and to finish a super yummy chocolate dessert. The wine pairing as chosen by the owner was perfect with the food. The... More
