Craving something other than Estrella or Mahou we stumbled across this excellent craft beer bar just off the San Bernardino interchange. A Porter from Barcelona and a Spanish IPA we’re well kept and a plate of jambon was also enjoyed. Well worth looking out for...if you like craft beer.More

Jill and I have been to Madrid 5 times. We are now staying for 4 weeks. La Tape is our go to place for a glass of wine. They. have a great variety of red wines by the glass. They are all spectacular. The service...is friendly and attentive. In Spain they provide a snack with the wine. We are vegan, no grains, so they offered us fabulous olives tonight. The place is lovely. It is on a great street. We will keep on coming back.More

This place was such a great find! The ground floor has more of a bar/pub vibe, but there’s restaurant space upstairs. EVERYTHING on the menu is gluten-free, which was great because my mum doesn’t eat gluten and it’s so hard to find things she can...eat. We got croquetas, the beetroot gnocchi (amazing!!), noodles and risotto, and carrot cake to share for dessert. Service was super attentive and helpful. We’ll definitely be back here again!More

Fantastic little find in Madrid. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The best part was it’s all gluten free and I could eat with no worries. Very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you and allowed us to taste beers. Fancy restaurant quality...food in a chilled setting. Highly recommend.More

Went here to have drinks and dinner with my wife. We entered and the place was half empty. They asked if we had a reservation, which we didn't. Got appointed a scrappy leftover table by the door. Then another couple came in, also without a...reservation, and they got a cosy table by the window. When we asked why they got seated there while we were told there was no other option for us we got some lame excuse from the waiter. We just left and won't return again.More

I am celiac and my wife isn't. First meal we had there my wife had the truffle risotto and I had the chicken breast with beet root gnocchi's. Both were excellent tasting meals. Second time was for lunch ( very handy being open the hours...they have ) and we had croquets and patatas bravas. Both were excellent but the bravas was on another level......Service is friendly , speedy and very good price. Don't forget the desserts ....very good.More

Wow... wow, wow and wow. La Tape's entire menu is gluten free. No Tapas, but incredible great food. Well,no tapas... you could consider some of their starters as a tape. But be prepared: these bravas are something different. A touch of smoked paprika powder adds...so much taste that you will die for more. Or what about the most creamy, tastefull fish croquettes you might have ever tasted. .?! Every dish you order hits the bullseye here. This is real quality and the chef should be prowd of his/her work. On top of that a great card with many kinds of very tasteful artisane beers and all at a very competive price. What keeps you? Go there!More

If there's one craft beer bar I know I am going to visit on any holiday I take to Madrid its La Tape, a bar I always look forward to visiting. The bar looks cool, its got a rustic looking interior, great decor and furnishings including...a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets that make up the Malasana area. We were here on a Sunday evening, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a beer each,we opted to have a beer from their draught range ,we both chose an ipa style beer, served iced cold and sparkling ,we just chilled out and took in the great bar we were in. My ipa was outstanding, a light, hoppy and unpretentious ipa ,bursting with taste, very easy to drink,a beer style I really enjoy. We really enjoyed our beers in here and although we only stayed for the one beer each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. La Tape is easy to locate along Calle De San Bernardo. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, 9am till 2am . Saturday & Sunday, 10am till 2am . A great craft beer bar, well worth checking out if your in the area.More

While a little pricy, the food was good & the service efficient. We were so excited to have so many options for my son with a gluten allergy that were tasty for the whole family!

Sat outside which was good and ordered some tapas which were ok. Then we ordered some thing more substantial but there was not much for the price. We enjoyed the craft (expensive) beers but overall too pricey.
