Nice atmosphere and decor in this place. Service was good. Ordered the meat platter after recommendations and reading reviews. Portion sizes were massive, more than enough for 2 people, could feed 3 or 4 easily and price of €23.50 was not bad. If you are...More

The place looks real and authentic from the outside. Don't venture in. The food lacks in real flavour (poor ingredients I guess), no choice in wine (all sponsored by large business) and staff who are bored with seeing too many tourists.

If you are looking for a nice, elegant and refined restaurant, this is not the right place for you. Venta el buscon is a real Spanish TABERNA, with good, rustic food from the tradition of this beautiful country. It's not attended just by tourists, but...More

My boyfriend and I loved this place! A charming and shabby tapas bar with VERY generous portions, quality complimentary tapas to accompany our drinks, incredibly reasonable prices and a fun and exuberant atmosphere. I highly recommend this bar to anyone who is visiting Madrid!

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street
performers, colorful lights, window shopping,
restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and
churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a
collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide
pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so
it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as
