Excellent restaurant and a must visit while in Madrid. Superior quality of the products, impecable service and professional staff, couple with its convenient location and attractive surroundings. Highly recommended.
I was impressed with this restaurant from the minute we walked in. The owner personally greeted us and patiently reviewed the menu with us. The tomato gazpacho was exceptional. The cochinillo was also very good. My daughters who are vegan enjoyed the fresh string beans...More
We 4, 2 from US and 2 Europeans, decided to have a big Sunday lunch here. The waitress was nervous, but we did speak a bit of Spanish, so she relaxed and we all had a lovely, lovely meal. One reason was the table next...More
By far the most memorable meal of our trip -- from the moment we were greeted it was a 10+ experience - the owner was vibrant and so passionate about her food - the menu was vegetable forward and everything - the eggplant, white asparagus,...More

8 of us descended on this place at 9:00 pm and did not leave until after midnight.
The service was outstanding and the food was incredible - so imaginative and wonderful flavours presented beautifully.
One of the best dining experiences ever and reasonably priced too.
I came to Madrid for a fast trip and since did not have time for adventures, went back to the usuals. La Manduca is better than ever! The couple who owns the place are a pleasure to speak with and, as always vegetables are the...More
Had the pleasure to dine on business al La Manduca de Azagra. This restaurant combines the excellency of Spanish food with the courtesy of staff...and the architectural beauty of the location. Coming to food...all dishes served met expectations and it was a pity there was...More
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as
desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
