The food is from Asturias. Try the pote asturiano, the croquetas and the cachopo and don't miss the desserts. Portions are huge and prices are wallet friendly. Friendly, fast service. Décor is as simple as it can get. It is not for tourists....the real deal....One of the most genuine meals I've had in Madrid.More

If you are walking down Conde Duque and you fancy a quick beer before getting ready for dinner you can't find a better place than this. Very simple decor but huge portion as tapas. And the staff is always there to smile at you!

Good bar with cheap beer and nice tapas. Popped in for lunch today and got a huge slab of tortilla, which was very nice (and filling).

You can get the Spanish classics (Spanish omelet, croquetas, etc) with some flare from the north of Spain. I would definitely recommend the cachopo! It's Spanish ham and cheese breaded onto a thin cut of meat that's really typical from Asturias, the north of Spain....My suggestion is to order a drink before you order any food. They should bring you a tapa with your drink so don't order it all at once! That should be pretty standard for any place you go, but here the tapa should come shortly thereafter.More

This bar, situated close to Conde Duque, has a place in history. However, it was pretty unimpressive inside (as so many are) but the welcome and treatment by staff and locals was first class. Our drinks came with a plate of mini tuna empanadas.
