Really good food. They adapted the Menu Degustaçion to suit one of us who is allergic to various food. Attentive (but not totally smooth) service. Nice atmosphere. Easy accessed by subway. Fantastic value for money.

As with every restaurant in Spain that offer a tasting menu you are on guard as what to expect specially this was our first time here. Price wise is very reasonable. As far as the food is a fusion of flavor that did not quite won me over. Explanations were done in a little of a rush so probably it... More

The menu is a little out of town but superb. The food combinations were outstanding with the exception of Octopus and Strawberries - still not sure! That apart every course was outstanding and the service and wine matched the food. The value for money was amazing!

Gorgeous looking restaurant with amazing food, wine & service. We dined for lunch, having the degustation menu with matching wines. Superb!

I have a very nice dinner at Lua. Beautifully presented and very tasty dishes. If you like fish, I highly recommend the tasting menu at $60 euros and the wine parinig option costs $26.00 euros. The only reason I do not give the restaurant 5 stars is because the tasting menu I had was too much fish. Hering in one... More

This restaurant represents an excellent value for its tasting menu. The tasting menu consists of 3 appetisers, 2 starters, 2 main dishes and 2 desserts, all for 60 Euros per person which is an exceptional value. All dishes were nicely balanced, tasty and presented well. My favourites were a fish appetiser, green rice with scampi, lamb dish and tangerine sorbet... More

Had high expectations that were let down immediately. We have visited several Michelin starred restaurants but this wasn't up to standard in my opinion. Service at this level must be top class . It wasn't.... Plates were stacked Dishes were brought when guests were away from the table Glasses weren't topped up had to ask Drinks weren't offered when we... More

We were a walk-up to this quite small place in Chamberi. No room for the tasting menu, but plenty for the carte. The lady at front-of-house made us very welcome. Shrimp egg and potato is not too descriptive (or maybe too much so??) but it was lovely, totally grease-free and showed a lightness of touch that made me trust other... More

The currency rates are clearly favoring my US dollars, so the 60 Euro tasting menu was a fantastic deal. As a group of 7, we were also offered the private back room, which was a great experience and really added to the evening. I will definitely send all friends to Lua for a great meal if they're in Madrid.

At the beginning I was quite disappointed because I could only choose the complete menu - 50€ without wines. But I was confident due to the excellent reviews I had read. And in fact, the dinner was perfect, the food was really delicious, well presented and with a perfect pace (considering that there were many courses). Everything was excellent and see... More

Our specialities include 'nuggets' of lamb sweetbreads, octopus "a feira" and many traditional Galician dishes with a modern twist. Top cuisine in a great atmosphere. Staying in Chamberi

Neighborhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighborhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
