Me and my grownup daughter visited Luna Rossa twice last week on our trip to Madrid because we had the best pizza ever at this restaurant. Everything we ordered tasted just fantastic. Cody restaurant and a very pleasant, professionel and friendly waiter. My best recommendations for a well prepared italian dinner. Better give call for a reservation - it's a... More

We stumbled upon this fantastic place and it is a real jewel! Our group of 11 was treated splendidly be Anna and her colleagues. The pasta, pizza, wine all have an authentic Italian feel in an enclave with a typical Spanish feel.

I went on a friday evening with my fiancè for a pizza, following the advice of an italian friend. The pizza is good, made at the style of Naples. Good ingredients and friendly service. The atmosphere is "caratteristica"...it recreates a patio but indoor. The "limoncello" was exquisite.

We recently ate at Luna Rossa and were so impressed by the quality of the food and the service. Pasta was homemade and cooked to perfection. The wood burning pizza was one of the tastiest we have ever eaten. If you are looking for great Italian food in Madrid , look no further.

Our first night in Madrid we wanted dinner that was not too different from what we are accustomed to in the USA. We decided that any Italian restaurant would fit the bill. We got what we were looking for but also a lot more. The menu had everything we could want but allowed us to try some different things also.... More

I always look for Neapolitan pizza every city I travel. This one makes it for real in Madrid, really nice place. Besides the classical Pizza Margarita, we eventually ordered melanzane parmigiana as starter, it was very delicious. And beer theresianer completed the deal. Recommended!

We got into Madrid late on Sunday evening at around 10pm. Many of the restaurants were closed. We walked into the restaurant which was very busy. They managed to squeeze our party of 7 in. The Pizza was sensational and the fresh pasta tasty. Service was friendly and attendtive. The wine list included Sicilian wine that was reasonably priced. Highly... More

Neighborhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
