We love traveling and in our trips our first question to our driver and the people at the hotel is for a good restaurant in town. Lhardy was the most recommended place in our visit to Madrid unanimously. We always find good restaurants in our...More

This place has a long tradition and it looks the same (and great) for ages. Whether you come just for tapas and a cup of soup or gazpacho, a cake or a lunch/dinner in the restaurant, you won’t regret. The energy and the spirit of...More

I booked this through recommendation (!). The front of house at our hotel said "have you booked?". Yes we have. The doorman at the restaurant said "have you booked". He gestured roughly towards a door. The waiter in the restaurant said "have you booked". Why...More

Visit Lhardy, essentially for its elegant nineteenth century ambience. That it has in buckets with white cloths, period furniture, and waiters in formal dress. However, the Octopus Brandade which was very tasty. It is also quite expensive which might explain why on a Saturday evening,...More

This is one of the oldest and most historic restaurants in Madrid. The main dining room is splendour of the royal and imperial style. Take time to look at the furnishings particularly the silverware. The service is superb whilst the food from a reasonably extensive...More

Step into a world of gracious surroundings, fresh linen, quality cutlery and attentive service. The food has been lovingly prepared and the wines most acceptable. Do not rush this experience!

Didn’t realise this was a restaurant too. We popped in for a very reasonable coffee and a slice of Jason quiche which was Lacking in Jamon, but otherwise would have been superb. Lovely interior and feel. Would call again for coffee

There isn't a dress code, but it is a rather posh establishment. One may want to dress business casual or better. I'd dress for the room.

Debe haber un ascensor de servicio, pero hay que preguntar y pedirlo. Yo tambien soy lisiado, pero me arrastre arriba varias veces, un escalon a la vez. Vale la pena. Que disfrute!
