In between meetings I did a quick search for sushi in Madrid and I found Kabuki nearby. I usually budget between €10 and €20 for lunch but when I saw the menu I immediately knew I had made a mistake. Most of the food is probably good but the prices are so outrageous that I only had a coke (€3... More

Not easy to find this place, all streets have names of generals or presidents; what we learned was, that this Kabuki restaurant was the first to be on top level for sushi in Madrid. It was excellent with professional service; we got only seats at the bar which we did not mind at all because to watch the sushi chiefs... More

Very nice welcoming Japanese fashion (meaning just a little smile that last a quarter of a second), restaurant is a mix between modern and traditional, but the gastronomic menu is very good and original, not only suchies! They have very good wine (so good that my girl finished the whole bottle herself and was completely wasted :)) at least the... More

How is this place a Michelin rated restaurant?? Sushi rice was bad. They used too much vinegar and it overpowered the taste of the fish. And the rice was crumbling in my mouth. Never had this problem before. The fish and scallop had zero flavor. You either need to serve really fresh high quality fish or use ok fish and... More

I cannot believe this place is rated 4.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor and has 1 star at Michelin... it's just a lie or the chef was on vacation... After 10 days of traveling around Andalusia and Castilla and eating Spanish food, we were craving Japenenese food. We searched online for the one of the best Japenese restaurant and found... More

Spent hours looking for a high end top quality sushi restaurant in Madrid and this place constantly came up and the reviews were very good and now I know why! Went on a Thursday night without a booking and although full staff were kind enough to get us a table outside which was great given the weather that night. Cannot... More

This elegant and sophisticated restaurant was the perfect place to celebrate my best friend birthday. The venue is small in a hidden corner close to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. It's a small and cosy restaurant very small so not very noisy though it was full. The food is amazing. It's not the traditional sushi and sashimi. Every plate that arrived... More

If you are a sushi lover this should be a destination restaurant to have on your list. The perfect fusion between Mediterranean and Japanese food taking advantage of Madrid being the European Capital with the best fish market. The quality of the seafood. that Kabuki serves is absolutely outstanding. The toro is unbeatable. I love the butterfish nigiri with truffles.... More
