Location and contact

Casa Mingo is the oldest cider house in Madrid, and possibly the oldest in Spain, since it opened in 1888, when it had not yet reached 60 years of the death of the great painter Francisco de Goya, who lighted up with his frescos the close hermitages of San Antonio de la Florida, designed by Ventura Rodriguez, also author of the Prado Museum, which you cannot miss, standing in a place that was considered as Real Site on the banks of the Manzanares river, as an extension of Campo del Moro's gardens and the rest of the Royal Palace gardens. To eat well in Madrid choose Casa Mingo. Try one of our famous roasted chicken. All accompanied by a bottle of cider to round out the menu and go home with

Like many before have said - the star dish is their spit roast chicken but that's certainly not all - make sure you try their chorizos cooked in cider or Galician lacon. A bottle of cider is around 6 euros and is provided with a...More

If you are looking for an authentic Asturian experience with rustic but excellent food and great homemade local cider. Find this place which is around a 20 minute walk from the royal palace. Certainly not touristy and frequented almost exclusively by Spanish locals, this is...More

We had traditional tortillas with white wine, food was prepared very quickly (not event 10min), overall very satisfied, I would visit again and try more meals.

This very old Asturian restaurant fell on hard times but has revived. The plain standard fare of roasted chicken, sausage in cider, roasted red peppers, hard cider - all unbeatable and at a fair price.
