We stopped here before heading to the telerifico and it was a great visit. We had the chicken and it was amazing. The skin was to die for. So crunchy and we'll flavored. If you ca. You should go here! The staff was also amazing. Small menu though.

Nothing fancy here except quality food. They really just offer roasted chicken, salad and cider. No matter, its good and it is served on picnic table type benches next to anyone else.

A interesting old fashioned interior, lots of character and an experience second to non. Just simple food but they do it really really well. Started with cheese and selection of meats followed by chicken of course, because thats what they do - and its well cooked moist and tasty. Great traditional cider to go with one of the most enjoyable... More

You will not get more Spanish than this or find nicer chicken in Madrid. Rotisserie chicken is the specialty here and boy is it good. The menu is small but everything on it has been on it for years and they do them very well. They have their own cider which is so refreshing you could be in danger of... More

It was the first restaurant i tried in Madrid upon arrival and it immediately dragged me to the old days. Opened in 1888, this resto has witnessed a lot of histories and it's been a all time favorite by old and young. You know it's a great one the moment you stepped in and see all grey-hair senor y senora... More

Visited this place with a group of friends with the intention of having some Chicken and Cider. I had previously read the reviews of the place so was looking forward to what was on offer. The restaurant is to the west of Madrid and it took a while to walk here. Upon entering we were greeted with a neat empty... More

Went with some friends to have 2 bottles of large cider for 12€. Terrible. Couldn't get past a couple of sips either of us. Paid and left. Went on a Friday night. It was dead and stuck in the past.

I saw this on trip advisor and I love roasted chicken so I was in. On the map on my phone it looked like it was up by the Egyptian monument but it was no where to be found and ended up taking a taxi to far end of town not in a tourist section at all. The waiter was... More

I had read about this place, so had to come here on a recent visit to Madrid. We were staying at a hotel that was less that half a mile to the east and came on foot so had to navigate all the gardens and steps along the way. When we finally got to the right street, we had trouble... More

Casa Mingo is the oldest cider house in Madrid, and possibly the oldest in Spain, since it opened in 1888, when it had not yet reached 60 years of the death of the great painter Francisco de Goya, who lighted up with his frescos the close hermitages of San Antonio de la Florida, designed by Ventura Rodriguez, also author of the Prado Museum, which you cannot miss, standing in a place that was considered as Real Site on the banks of the Manzanares river, as an extension of Campo del Moro's gardens and the rest of the Royal Palace gardens.
To eat well in Madrid choose Casa Mingo. Try one of our famous roasted chicken. All accompanied by a bottle of cider to round out the menu and go home with very good taste. Do not forget, no place like Casa Mingo to eat well in Madrid.
