Ran into this place just walking around and decided to drink a glass of wine. Atmosphere is great, Decor is awesome and the owner (I think) was great and helpful. All wine is from Spain and inexpensive compared to drinking at a restaurant. Additionally you are getting good quality. Host also was passionate about wine and very informative about each... More

This is the place to be in Madrid - brilliant wines and switched-on service, with a great vibe... for the young and young at heart!

This was by far my girlfriend and my favorite stop in Madrid. We found it on a list of wine bars in Madrid and popped in to check it out. It was crowded but not overly so. The space is cozy and inviting and the guys working there made us feel at home. We sat at the bar, enjoyed incredibly... More

We visited this vinoteca based on a colleague recommendation. It was great. The owner prides himself on his knowledge of the wine he serves. The house white went very well with the cheese plate. Each week he opens red wines to taste, we had a glass of red which was good as well. Our Spanish is not very good but... More

Una más y nos vamos.....! One more and we go! We were here at Vides last year around the same time while vacationing and had a great time tasting Vides wines. Last night was we went back and were not disillusioned. To my opinion this Wine Bar has the best and most selection of wines in Madrid. I had visited... More

Really fabulous wines, very friendly and helpful service and delicious classic Spanish nibbles. The atmosphere is warm and happy. I visited twice during my 10 day stay in Madrid and will definitely be going back. One of my favourite places to have a pre- dinner drink and some yummy bites

We tucked in here at the beginning of an evening of tapas wondering. The wine was fabulous, and the owner steered us well through some regions and wines with which we were not very familiar. There were limited food offerings, so it was best as a snack and glass of wine spot.

Very nice and lovely owner named Vincentin, he created his list and graded all his vines, he sells only small vinery vines and has it all marked on a map

Thank Anja H

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
