I went for lunch during office lunch break but i could imagine going there for different occasions as it is cozy, affordable and friendly. Their tapas is not too many wide range but if you ask them, I am sure they will do their best fo give you what you want.

We were in a group of 8, staying at hotel near Bilbao station and decided to go for dinner to La Pincheria; after a 10 min walk we got to the place and arrange the tables to sit altogether. Beers and wine arrived soon and the atmosphere was cosy, friendly and relaxed: nothing better after a whole day of hard... More

Staff is kind, good wine, good food, at reasonable prices. The place is targeting mostly nearby office workers and that's why they take care of the ingredients' quality. However, the atmosphere may look kind of simple and not very touristic or Spanish stereotype like.

The food is incredibly good, the service very friendly and the prices more than fair. Be sure to come in a bit earlier than what Spanish people consider lunch time. Otherwise, you'll find it difficult to get a table (which is always a good sign).

Honestly I was expecting more ... maybe because of the many positive reviews I have read. My friends and I went to the Pincheria on a Monday and there was no one else in the restaurant. The service could have been a little faster, but exactly for this reason, the waiters nicely brought us a few extra tapas while we... More

I believe this to be the top, budget restaurant in Madrid, and is certainly worth visiting. The staff couldn't have done more for us. They were so friendly and attentive. We felt like VIPs. Food was of a very high standard, and was amazing value. Just loved it.

Staying in Chamberi

Neighborhood Profile
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighborhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
