We started at a disadvantage as this was our first day in Madrid after the trans atlantic flight, so we basically opened the place with an 8:30 reservation. Needless to say we were the first diners of the evening and we did not linger long...More

This is truly a very tradition restaurant. If that is the kind of food and experience you are looking for then this place is definitely right for you. The food is delicious but it's on the pricey side. I personally found the atmosphere to be...More

Not many tourists know this place. It serves good and real (not typical touristy though) Spanish food. Tourists will not have heard of it even though it is close to some of the major sights but hidden away in a small street. I go there...More

Very friendly and efficient staff. Food is very good but on the expensive side......no wonder as this is just behind the parliament and many politicians have lunch here. I will definitely go there again.

We were there in a group and we got the private room. First came the butter. In a long wooden jar. What an experience eaten with crispy fresh bread! Very advisable! Forget the fat! Then taste the olive oil with the butter. Another great experience....More

Just behind the parliament (Cortes) building lies hidden a secret tip - La Ancha. This restaurant is old fashioned - in a good way. The owner, Benigno, greets you personally, if you're waiting for your party you'll be offered an aperitif and a newspaper. Your...More
