Once again in beloved Madrid, there is no way to not chose again El Rincon de Goya in the wonderful barrio of Salamanca. The raciones and the canapés offered here are simply awesome. A must have at your next stay in Madrid. You will not be disappointed, we were not during the past 10 years! Remind that they also have... More

Traditional spanish food served in a taverna surrounded by madrilenes. Be careful when you order ! big size plates to be shared Amazing "ham croquetas"

Visited in February for lunch, the service was amazing and very friendly, decor and restaurant generally is very good but the food was not as great as expected. It was very overpriced for what it was I don't belive this is traditional but more a fusion restaurant and I would definitely recommend a tapas bar instead.

It is a classic for us, many different pinchos. Dishes are not the best option, got for the "pintxos" with a "doble". Solomillo with its different varieties is a must. You can also ask for your favorite ingredients and they can make a pintxo for you. When we don't know where to go and we don't want to think much... More

If you're solo, with friends or with that special person, you can't miss the place. Perfect to have an inside special dinner or simply hang out outside.

Nice location and good choice, but dessert were terrible. Not cheap for what you get but if you pass by you can find decent tapas. Probably better places in the neighborhood as well

We were shopping along the Serrano strip and side streets and decided to have lunch . I asked one of the locals where the best local restaurant would be found. She wrote down the name gave directions, and off we,went. What a find ! Granted we were early for lunch in Madrid ..about 12:30 so almost no one about. Decor is... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
