Got a last minute Trip Advisor & Fork reservation for 40% off. Two blocks from hotel. Three waiters very nice and overworked on a busy night. Starters and entrees good. Ambience lively. Total bill with three starters, two entrees and two glasses of wine was less than 50 Euro. Took 30+ minutes to get final bill.

The food at this restaurant is Spanish based, and they have English menus available, which is helpful. The atmosphere feel less Spanish. We had the selection of croquettes to start, and the tuna and ham for main course. Overall a reasonable experience. Had two mishaps with wrong water and coffee arriving. With so many dining options available in Madrid, I... More

The best meal during our Madrid break. Service great. Steak and Salmon tartare were highlights. One of the best restaurants in Madrid.

We used the 40% discount given through tripadvisor when booking a table in advanced. Lovely food, lovely staff, well priced would highly recommend the lamb shanks and the tuna as main courses!

The restaurant design is modern, you feel like you are in a special place. I think we were unlucky with one of the waiters, who was most probably in his first day, and made a couple of weird comments. I was also unlucky with the place where I sat. The waiter served always everyone expect me, I was in a... More

If you book using Tripadvisor's The Fork app, you may get 40% off starters, entrees and desserts (you must get two of three). Drinks not included. Usually for weekdays and dining early (2000 is early for locals). Had the scallop starter and the spinach salad, followed by a seafood tagliatelle and fideguay with duck confit and mushrooms. Excellent Rioja. Nice... More

We found ourselves looking for a place to dine super late on a Saturday night because our other reservation on another restaurant got canceled with short notice and after finding a place to eat here we were super glad it did get canceled. We ordered a few appetizers and they were all amazing but the best were salmon tartar, huevos... More

An innovative approach to modern French/Spanish cuisine. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the service friendly and professional. I would recommend the ox tail in Starters, very original and tasty recipe. As an Entree, the hake was delicious as well as their version of the classic "paella" Spanish rice dish. Leave space for the desserts! We will definitely come back. It's... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
