Seen this place on trip advisor and decided to give it a try. Restaurant is small and friendly. There was a nice atmosphere as it is popular with locals for their shisha' food was nice and they even had an English menu which can sometimes be hard to find in Madrid (ignorant of me Not to learn Spanish I know)... After having a look through TripAdvisor to see what restaurants were near our hotel, we stumbled across this and decided to pay a visit! It's small, cosy and doesn't look much from the outside but is actually a great little find. With genuine tasting Middle Eastern cuisine at reasonable prices, you can't go wrong! My partner had the meat parcels... More

We walked past this place on our first night in Madrid and went back and tried it on our 2nd night. You can choose 3 dishes each per round and you get 4 rounds (at a set price per head - which was about 18 euros and included one drink). We were full after two rounds. The food was delicious,... We went due to the previous reviews, so difficult to get Halal food in Madrid.. Not the first time going there so were not complete novices! ONLY tried this due to it's previous reviews. It was dim and dull, claiming to be Halal and there is no DOUBT they were Muslims.. but when questioned about meat suppliers he had no... More

I was staying at en suites 33 and this restaurant is just next door to our hotel! Halal food is not easy to get and when we know this restaurant has halal food, of course we become their frequent customer! Nice moroccon food that they serve.. :-)

Found this restuant by accident whilst looking for a place to eat on our first night in Madrid. I have not (yet ) been to Morocco, so I don't know how really authentic it is, but it seemed real enough, complete with several hooka pipes being smoked at various tables, giving a sweet smell to the place. We had a... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
