Wow is all I can say. We ended up here after a recommendation from a walking tour guide. We found that we were the only tourists in a place full of locals! Our Spanish is limited but the staff managed to help us and fill...More

We were recommended this bar by a local guide and indeed it was a good recommendation. The tapas were free of charge and tasted good. The place was bustling with many locals.

As a student on a budget, this place is basically one of the best ways to experience tapas in Madrid. For about 5-6 euros, you get a big drink with a full plate of hearty tapas. My group of three ended up with chicken wings,...More

Very casual environment, big free tapas for each drink, average tapas quaility. They have animal head attached to walls which interests kids.

Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where
the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and
people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses

It might be tight with 27 people but think it could accommodate you. Great tapas in relaxed atmosphere - reasonable wine and beers.
