When I'm pub and bar hopping around the Centro district of Madrid I always make a beeline to El Tigre ,one of the hidden gems of this most beautiful of city's. A great looking bar ,a cool looking serving bar dominates the main room ,pubby...decor and furnishings ,great wall art and seating options and standing tables ,it's just an amazing bar to unwind in . The big draw of this bar is the fact that you buy a beer ,we had pints of San Miguel beer served iced cold and sparkling and with your beer you're given free plates of tapa ,I don't mean little snacks I mean full on plates of delicious tapa ,hams, cheeses ,croquettes and as much as you can handle ,plates are refilled after you finish ,for the local students it's a must go destination ,it's busy and very popular ,love it here ,it's ,it's definitely one of my go to bars in Madrid ,loved our visits here on a recent weeks holiday in this most beautiful of city's. El Tigre is easy to locate along Calle Infantas. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, midday till 1am. Well worth checking out if you're in the Centro district of Madrid.More

Walk into this unique location and we were instantly struck by a wonderfully warm yet vibrant atmosphere in the confines of this tapas bar. We ordered our wines and immediately received a good portion of tapas before settling into the cosy environment

CervecerÍa El Tigre Sidra Bar is a fantastic place to visit and was one of the many pub bars and restaurants we visited on our trip to Madrid. This superb bar offer's a brilliant range of drinks and tapas dishes and is an excellent place to...fill up as when you order your drink you can have as much tapas as you want as long as your drinking. The bar itself has a traditional Spanish feel and look with superb furnishings and great seating options throughout the whole bars interior. We visited early in the afternoon on a roasting hot day and it was very busy but we got a table and had a few pint's of beer and lots of assorted tapas which were first rate and well priced. This is a fantastic tapas bar that's located in a superb area and is very easy to get to from Chueca metro stop it's a few minute's walk.(This is my first review of El Tigre Sidra Bar). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-12.00-01.00. Public Transport. Metro Stop. Chueca metro stop.More

Soooo cheap! We had drinks and they bring you huge plates of tapas. It’s mostly bread and potatoes but for the price you can’t argue. The atmosphere is cool with a busy vibe. No chairs - you have to stand around perches.

10/10 recommend El Tigre. 100% worth the money for the 5 hour tour. They picked us up at the hotel and dropped us back off. When we got to the boat; they had coconut bread and coffee out for us. Don’t forget to add the...rum! We had great music and unlimited drinks. They provided snorkeling gear and lead us on 2 dives. We saw sea turtles, sting rays, fish, ship wrecks and coral. We had a delicious lunch on board including bbq chicken and flying fish then had a swim basically in Rhianna’s backyard. It was our favorite thing we did while in Barbados and would have done it daily if we could. Don’t forget sunscreen or a rash guard as you will be in the water at peek sunshine times. We got burned pretty bad but it was worth it.More

Nice wine with a massive plate of food included. However, we found the staff to be aggressive and intimidating - the waiter who brought the card machine asked us to tip the equivalent of 50% of the bill. We tipped some, but not that and...he was verbally aggressive in response. We wouldn't recommend this place and definitely wouldn't return.More

Amazing value for money. Proper tapas and beer with no faff. Went here everyday on our trip. €12 for two beers and three plates of tapas with free refills. Can't beat that!

Good simple place, always busy (went 3 days running). Buy a drink here and you are given basic Tapas which is a nice touch. Not top end but nevertheless welcome. Pretty much standing room only, be prepared. Most only stay for a drink or 2....600 ml beer and a plate for €6 near Central Madrid. Can't argue with that.More

If the idea is to have a few beers and stave off hunger, this is the ideal place in Madrid. Do not expect the best refinement in the food on offer, but do expect a humourous demonstration of Spanish gastronomy. For me it is the...best fast food place you can find. The price of the beer is normal and the food is on the house (if you want to repeat something just tell the waiter and give him a tip).More

When my dad told me about this place, I honestly thought it was too good to be true cause what business would be okay with serving you HEAPS of tapas when you purchase a drink? Sounds like a sinking business to me, but that is...def far from the truth here! I won't lie; walking in it seems a bit grimy, but once you get your drink order in, it's all Gucci from there. Servers at the bar are quick and friendly enough; just be sure to know what you wanna order beforehand cause there WILL be a line after you. I don't think I've ever not seen this place poppin'. I had ordered the sangria and the sandia mojito, and both were delicious! Sweet but not too sweet and def a great pairing with all the tapas we were given such as patatas bravas, wings, jamon, etc. Favorite tapa was def the patatas as the sauce was extra garlicky, and I am all about that. All I gotta say is if this place is good enough for the locals, it's good enough for me!More

I was taken here by a local friend, and I must say I was left without words! For the price of a beer, you get free food - tapas and chicken with rice... for free! Actually, you always get free tapas and whatever the kitchen...is preparing at that moment... all delicious, all fresh and all very local, as this place is very popular with mostly students and young people! Great food, super cheap prices, fast service and very local feeling - what else would you want? Just go and enjoy!More

Ordered 3 drinks and came with tapas. Not too crowded but the tapas is not great. It’s also a bit cold and not warm. Though cheap but nothing to rave about.

It might be tight with 27 people but think it could accommodate you. Great tapas in relaxed atmosphere - reasonable wine and beers.
