My friends and i are currently in the bar.....and i must say that the vibe and service is absolutely superb. The staff are extremely generous, kind and considerate. The wine and beer is second to none, not to forget the delicious complimentary tapas. Somewhere that we stumbled across and couldn't be happier. We couldn't leave without sharing out experience and... More

Perfect fusion between Spanish food and Belgian beer: you cannot go wrong. The beer quality is at Belgium level (really) with a large variety of drinks while the cuisine is typically Madrid style: simple and tasty. Great environment too: I will definitely go back when in Madrid again.

Great range of imported and local draught and bottled beers. The free tapas is delicious and generous. The menu items looked great too.

We stopped in hoping for a broader selection of beer than the boring ones found most places in Spain. We found not only a wide selection of Belgium brews, but also a great line of beer from a Madrid brewer! And w each order, the waitress brought us tapas. Great way to while away the Spanish siesta.

Xavier served us and although his English is not the best, he was helpful and very nice. We ordered the black paella, clams in tomato sauce and pork in chocolate sauce (yes). Everything was excellent!! The food took some time but worth the wait. It turned out that Xavier is the chef - so many great qualities. Glad we came.... More

Although primarily a beer pub, with imports and Spanish labels alike, we were able to enjoy a nice paella and sangria. Close to Plaza Mayor, and shopping. Also near Palacio Real. Service was friendly. Definitely recommend for the beer junkies.

Staying in La Latina

Neighborhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighborhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighborhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
