I went for breakfast several times. Friendly place plus delicious pastry, I tried lots of different ones each morning. Old fashioned and simply lovely place.

Ignore the coffee. Ignore the pretty cakes. Order a hot chocolate. Order some "bizcochos de soletilla" (a cake-like lady finger pastry). Sit. Dip the biscuit into the chocolate. Breathe, relax, and enjoy. By far the most decadent, delicious part of my time in Madrid. Thank...More

They have sweet "roscones" and other pastries. Very good place for breakfast. It was so good I took one home with me on an 8hr flight.

Founded in 1855. Very friendly service, great hot chocolate - thick Madrid style. Delicious pastries. You know you have to leave and do other things, eat other things, but you want to stay.

I love this place...I visited twice while in Madrid. Sweet treats galore and the perfect coffee. You can sit down and eat your confections or get them to go. Just stare into the delicious filled cases and point if you can't speak Spanish. I asked...More
