This was our hotel's restaurant and we wanted to try it after staying at Hotel Preciados 5 years ago. We were too tired after a day of sightseeing in Toledo to venture out so we chose to eat here. I tried to make a reservation but couldn't find anywhere on the website to do that. It didn't matter as the... More

Just had a sangria, in a very nice atmosphere. Nice design and friendly service. Interesting and inviting tapas list, although I didn't try any. Worth to stop and have a drink at least

This was our hotel restaurant and we were happy we chose to have dinner here on our first evening. We had a window seat and enjoyed watching all the people going by on this busy street. We had for mains the pasta carbonara and garlic shrimp and they were excellent. We had our waiter choose our wine bottle for us... More

For appetizers we had the garlic shrimp and the ham with bread. For our main entree we had the spaghetti carbonara and the rabbit. Then for dessert we had the lemon sorbet and were surprised when it came in a glass with a straw. The lemon was tart and refreshing. Everything we had was good, but the service and the... More

We chose this restaurant for the seafood menu and stylish interior. However, the service was scattered, and the entrees were just average, with indifferent presentation. Staff had no interest in assisting with the wine choices.

We were slightly tired and thought to give our "hotel restaurant" a try. I was impressed with the overall experience. Staff were busy but made an effort to smile and be friendly. Food was decent and a must try is the paella which I liked personally. In fact when i had wanted to order 1 more dish, the manager advised... More

Nice lace to have some drinks and tapas when your walking around in this part of Madrid. Breakfast is also higly recommendable. And on top of all, the service is superb.

This restaurant was at the hotel I was staying at, and for a hotel restaurant, it was very delicious! I dined here twice, and both times I had excellent service and great food. It was very affordable. I would recommend if you are staying at the hotel or are nearby!

Food was as on the menu but a bit average and the same really went for service - plus not really very friendly

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
