I had been wanted to try this place so I went with some friends to this place for the proximity to the bars in Puerta de Sol. I went to La mucca de Prado. Found that the service was lacking and slow. It was over crowded and noisy. I thought one of the waiters were quite rude when I asked... More

Had lunch here during a trip to Madrid. The location and atmosphere was good but service was a little slow and staff were not overly attentive. The food was reasonable however my mozzarella and tomato dish wasn't balanced. Far to few tomatoes and a huge piece of mozzarella which I simply could not finish. Seems harsh to complain about the... I have been to this place twice and I will continue to repeat. I have tried different plates and loved all of them. I like that this restaurant has tons of options at reasonable prices. I recommend the tuna & mango tartar and their pizzas.

We had an excellent meal at lamucca. Ana was very helpful with finding us a table(we didn't have a reservation & it was really busy). We had cocktails while waiting- definitely a good idea - all four of us happy with our choices. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. Food was yummy, again all of us happy with our... More

The food and service was generally good but nothing above that. It is next to a medium trafficked road and circulation, which made it less cozy, with cars and busses passing by.

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
