We ended up here because it was raining and we didn't want to walk far from our hotel. It's cheap, and you get what you pay for. We weren't disappointed as we didn't expect much, but I wouldn't recommend the ribs as the portion size is tiny. Desert was alright and the burger was juicy, but it's the minimal you... More

We had dinner here with friends on our last night in Madrid. Our first choice, New York Burger, was closed so this restaurant was recommended by our hotel. It was not really what we expected - three of us ordered hamburgers cooked medium but we received could easily pass for steak tartar. Our burgers were a raw, sloppy mess. The... More

Had a quick cheap easy meal here one night on our recent trip to Madrid. We ordered hot wings, chips, roast potato and pork spare ribs. potato was cold, as were chips, ribs were dry and tasteless. in defense the burgers looked good- but we didnt try them.

The decoration and the burgers are all authentic American. Good quality meat and good sized portions in general. However, we were rushed at the end: the waiters were visibly impatient for us to finish our meal so we could leave the table to the many waiting. I was made to feel as though I had to rush my beer (I... More

Deserves 5 out of 5 badges. The burger itself was very delicious: the meat was perfect and made like it's suppost to be. The sauces and the bread were also perfect. The fries were very special. One of the best I had. The place was very nice and friendly. The staff also. The prices are reasonable too. And the place... More

The physical setting is quite small and a bit run down, which shocked given its centric location in one of the most glamorous areas by Parque del Retiro. Apart from that, the bbq cheese and bacon burger was good and the service was friendly.

I stayed at the Wellington nearby. We came across Alfredo's and stopped in for a Beer one night. Great little bar. We came back a few nights later. We got talking to the owner's daughter, super nice lady. Didn't have the food, but it looked really good. Good spot.

Plenty of single places empty, he wouldn't sit me with no reservation. Doesn't any english for an 'american' burger place. Shambolic and living on its past.

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
