**This will be posted on Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Google because those are the places I look before picking a place** Incredible service! I mean, the kind of service that made us look at each other and say "this would never happen in the states". Our waiter was quick, kind, and knowledgeable about the dishes we wanted to try (mainly the... More

Everything we had (grilled octepous, goat cheese with honey, tuna tartar and guacamolly) was very good - intresting in taste and design. The service was also extermely friendly. The only thing was that it ended up being more than we imagined for a couple (52eu with no alcohol).

Found this through Trip Advisor. Had to wait a while before they opened at 8:30pm and happy I did. Took the tuna tartar and squid, both were delicious as was the wine by the glass. Only regret is that as I was alone, because I was full after these and was not able to taste any of the other dishes.... More

This place caters to young foreigners with little taste or knowledge of true Spanish food or who have had too much to drink. When we went the place was almost empty. No music no ambiance. The menu has some dishes which can doubtfully be prepared in the time allowed. Just go somewhere else...

Mr Stephen, we are sorry that you came on a slow day and frankly a little surprised by your judgemental comments, usually we have very positive reactions from foreigners and Spanish customers alike. Greetings, Pablo.- More

I would eat here every day. Don't miss the tuna tartar, the pan seared goat cheese with honey and the octopus with potato foam. Great paellas too! The environment is casual and the waiters are awesome. It's best to make a reservation on weekends, it gets packed.

We happen to be staying around the corner from this place. I admit, TripAdvisor played a huge factor in choosing this place. Glad we went, from the service to the meal; it was all very good and perhaps on our top meals we had during our stay in Madrid. The meal comes in tapa style and is eaten as each... More

Good restaurant. Friendly staff that speak english. The food is made in a way I have never tasted it (combinations, sauces,...) which makes it special. Took the mussels, asperges, octopus and guacamola. All tasty. They bring the plates one after the other. The dry white wine was splendid.

We went to this place according to Tripadvisor ratings as usual - which normally result in a good choice. However this restaurant we think is definitely over-rated from 2.5 -3 star to 4.5 star. The place is pretty small with out of date decoration. Very limited choices of food and drink - only one beer option. Several dishes appeared on... More

Hello Yu T., I am very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience in our restaurant, I was on holiday at the time and so I could not speak with you when it happened. The rest of the waiters don't speak a lot of english so it was difficult for them to deal with the situation. We usually... More

The place is a little hard to find (little to no signage outside) but is worth every effort to get there. The staff was extremely friendly and knew English well. The food was simply amazing! We had the mussels (use the bread to soak up the sauce) and the octopus (a must have... Taste like bacon). We shared all of... More

Very good food, especially salads (goat cheese and chevre) and guacamole. Staff wasn't very friendly.

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
