Incredibly tasty food!

The food in this restaurant has the taste from the Basque Country. I think every single dish or tapa you try here is amazing. It is such a combination of flavours.....it is just great. Prices are a bit high, but you are paying quality. I can recommend it for sure!

Staff were friendly Food was super: between my friend and I we had 3 dishes - don't remember the exact names: one was tuna cold and sliced with delicious mayo - incredible. Next was steak on top of bread with a layer of cooked preserved peppers - also incredible. Finally was a dish with French fries, iberico ham and a... More

Amazing experience over the counter, right in the bar, I was in the restaurant located in calle general pardiñas ,94 . All the pinchos were great, especial mention to the spanish omelet but the eggs (huevos rotos) , broiled octopus the meat pinchos, the salads everything super authentic. A big recommendation especially for a nice and well done authentic spanish cuisine.

We got there by a friends' recommendation, and were completely overwhelmed by the freshness and simplicity of the dishes. We ordered risotto, guacamole, carpaccio, tenderloin steak, tataki tuna, and it was all delicious! Don't miss out on this place, as it's best for couples it is a good spot for family without small children.

We've sampled a couple of tapas (mini burgers with foie gras among others) and they were all very good. The staff was friendly and eating and drinking while standing has a certain appeal. A great place to try out - the prices and quality are there.

We had two great visits here, coming firstly for pintxos at the bar and then for dinner in the restaurant at the back. Both times we enjoyed everything we had immensely. The pintxos were great, as were the Basque risottos we had in the restaurant. The house white wine was excellent. Value for money is good and service was friendly.... More

Came here on recommendation of a friend who lives in La Latina. The place was rammed with spaniards (perfect for practicing the language) and the food was so so tasty. The locals love the pintxos de tortilla and pintxos foix (I think it was called) but I had bacalao (cod) which was amazing (but a little rich.) The staff are... More

Staying in La Latina

Neighborhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighborhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighborhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
