Have just returned from our trip to Gibraltar and yet again we went to Raj's curry house, this is one place we always go to to eat, his currys are delicious and mouth watering, we booked our table as the restaurant is small. I want...to thank the team for a fantastic meal and just to let you know that we are back in January 2021,but I also know that you have your family holidays, would you be able to let us know when this would be. Thanks again.More
The restaurant was about to close upon our arrival but the chef was only too happy to whip us up a few dishes before he closed the kitchen... I’ve forgotten since what we had but it was absolute perfection. -Our taste buds got a real...treat. 10/10More
Great food and great staff. Indian flavors without having to be heavy handed on the chili and super roti. Book if going at the weekend as it gets busy. Don’t expect luxury, it’s a cosy local curry house with really tasty food!
Friend and I decided on a curry after night of football. Taxi driver took us here and said it was the best curry on the rock. Well he must have had a massive back hander as it must rate as the worst curry night both...of us ever experienced. We should have known as when we went in we were the only customers. Started with a warm Tiger beer in dodgy glasses then went into rock solid chicken pakora. With no dipping sauce.
After managing only two pieces each we asked for mains but this turned to be our second mistake. The rice we had was totally overcooked the dried out in oven till it was solid. The chicken dopiaza was inedible and I only managed two forkfuls my friend battled on manfully to leave over half of his jalfrezi. He then asked for the toilet and was led out back door of restraunt and shown the toilet half way down a public car park. When he came back we cut our losses and paid the bill and asked for a taxi. They even had a good moan about this as they said the phone was needed for takeaway orders. Suffice to say if I’m ever in Gib again I will be giving this place a wide berth.More
By far the worst meal I have ever had. We had a takeaway from the Hungry Monkey, most of the food went in the bin. I'm extremely suspect of the positive reviews because nobody would enjoy this. A vile meal
Weeks stay in Gib, 3rd curry we have had. After a dreadful one in town our hopes of a good curry had dwindled. This place was great, vindaloo, not as spicy as back home but very tasty. Achari was also nice with the flavours of...the pickle coming through. Best bit for me was the chilli cheese naan. Just wish we had them like that at home. Filled with cheese and chilli. Lovely foodMore
The best Indian food we’ve had! My partner asked for a quite spicy chicken dish and they brought some in a small dish for him to try if spicy enough...I think this is great customer service! We also had the keema naan which was full...of meat and flavour! The poppadoms were very light and flavoursome too. The waiter was friendly and very accommodating! A very nice and enjoyable evening meal! Thank you, Steve and DanielaMore
