Once a month I always go to Lord Nelson but this time has been awful. Different waiters and cook, treating their clients differently! English breakfasts have always been served at all times of the day yet because the cook got angry at a complaint of...her food from a different table; she refused to serve English breakfast to us. After her anger passed, she started to serve them again. To my surprise, I saw plates of breakfast being served shortly after the refusal. My partner and I like this restaurant a lot and have left today feeling disappointed. I hope this acts as constructive criticism to allow the workers at this restaurant to improve their customer service because this place deserves high quality professionals.More

Situated in the corner of the square is this rather nice looking bar. Only went in once and another decided not to but both times the clientele were over boisterous. Yeah I know it’s a pub but they can and do spoil it for others

Tucked Into the corner of Casemates Square , this is a very attractive pub both externally and internally. However both tables and the floor were sticky ! They also charge more here for a gin and tonic that the Rock Hotel ! Mixed service.

This is rather a bar than a restaurant...lots of dishes (all basic) from the menu not available. We finally got a pizza which was OK but nothing special. Terrace is nice but avoid going with family in the evening as you have already people drunk...at 6pmMore

We stopped in this pub because it was raining buckets and we just wanted a drink and be out of the rain for a while. We did not have any expectations, except to get a decent drink and dry out a bit. When we entered...the place was very quiet, yet it took a while to get drinks because of language issues: we think we spoke understandable English but apparently we did not. Finally we got a beer and a glass of decent wine. In the meantime the place started to fill up with groups of people, some coming in to escape the rain, others to have a meal. I did not fancy eating here because the place is darkish and not really appealing, like most old-fashioned pubs. When a boisterous group of youngsters came in to have dinner we decided to leave. On the whole a rather unremarkable pub, albeit very patriotic.More

We both had guiness pie which was very tasty. Sebastian made us his version of sangria. We had a couple of these and a top Irish coffee while watching local band Thrifty Malone. Best night of our short break.Friendly pub and great atmosphere.

Came to lord Nelsons for a few drinks on a Wednesday for a friends birthday, as it was one of the only places open with a brilliant vibe and live music! From beginning to start we were served by the brilliant and lovely Victoria Fisher,...she went above and beyond from start to end… It’s rare to see such heartfelt and genuine good service, lovely time and in my eyes it was the staff that made it that but special. If this establishment does employees of the month I’d be surprised if it wasn’t her month after month! What a trip! Would highly recommend. 10/10More

We popped in our way home for a drink after living in Gibraltar for a year, we always wanted to pop in here but after work never had the time. On this occasion we came in for a drink and we were greeted very warmly....The staff were very friendly and particularly Sebastian and Ines were super friendly and welcoming ! Will certainly recommend and be back!More

Called in for a beer and perhaps some food one late afternoon. Discovered this was another pub where Old Speckled Hen was not available and so little choice of a good beer. Very quiet and although we were later given a menu did not eat...anything. Is like a local UK pub and perhaps not to every ones liking. There is an outside area with tables you can also use.More

Great location in Casemates Square. Also very attractive premises with terrace to the front. However prices are silly high for what you get. Food very average and pub at best. Drinks are expensive too- double gin and tonics cheaper at The Rock Hotel ! I...am sure many day trippers and cruise passengers go to eat at The Lord Nelson though !More
