A cooked breakfast at lunchtime, good bacon, cheap sausages,2 eggs, toast and beans. Well cooked, served fast by a very helpful staff member.
Three bottles of very small water at about £1.50 each was the downside.
We sat outside, quite a nice view, all in all it was ok.

Stopped off here for drinks while in Gibraltar’s Main Street, unclear as to whether there was table service or not, bar staff wandering around but not committing to take orders. Inside, two female staff members were behind the bar, after being ignored for a minute or two, I started to order but someone butted in to make a complaint about their order and both started dealing with her and abandoned me. Once I finally got the drinks I was again left at the bar waiting to pay. I also asked three times if they had a menu but was ignored, so ate elsewhere. The cost of a pint of Kronenberg and two soft drinks was over £11 which is pretty pricy. The whole place looked run down and unappealing, a pretty poor show to be honest.

This pub is on the main street and although have visited the area in the past have never been here as it always appeared crowded.
Called one afternoon and found it to be like a typical local pub as found in the UK.A bit rough and ready but a choice of beers and larger and I had a Superbok that I knew from visits to Portugal.
Wife wanted a snack and ordered cheesy chips which came in a large dish with plenty of cheese and a large portion.
Also called in on Christmas Day where although they were serving meals we did not eat. Was not over crowded considering.

The menu intrigued me so I wanted to eat here. Inquired about a table and asked if they were still serving due to many resturants having different hours in response to COVID. I was rudely told "we don't do food, we don't do food - go somewhere else." Believe me, I went somewhere else, and advise others to do the same.

We ordered the fish and chips and shrimp scampi. The fish was ok. The shrimp were breaded and deep fried, they were horrible. The chips were rum of the mill French fries that were limp. The pub itself is very comfy. Come for a pint and skip the food.

Walked half way across town in the rain as a friend suggested the donkey s i. Got there sat with my 6 year old and wife for 10 mins without service. My little one spotted a toy shop opposite and decided she would look while I waited to be served 20 mins later after a row between the owner and an older lady behind the bar I gave up. We walked to the ship in ocean village in the rain and was treated like royalty fed and watered 3 quid a pint .

Food was "adequate" but nothing to write home over. However the most annoying issue was the waiter relaxing and smoking a sigarette less than one meter from our table. He also messed up the order from our 9 year old... making him the single person having to wait for food while everybody had theirs. The starter arrives at same time with main dish.

Sat inside for a late breakfast. Place is clean and comfortable.
We sat at a table whilst an older woman walked about but we weren’t acknowledged by her or the miserable bloke behind the bar.
In the end my husband went to the bar to order, the whole process completed with barely a word from the bartender,
The food was brought out fairly quickly, again without a word when placing it on our table.
I had a full English which was ok, but no butter for the toast,
I’ve never been anywhere with such miserable staff and definitely won’t be returning!

We were a group of four, we ordered Fish & Chips. A nice portion of cod was served but one could only taste the oil it was fried in. The side of salad came with no dressing. Roast Beef seemed like yesterday’s thinly sliced meat tasting like leather. The Roasted Chicken was very dry and the vegetables cold. The Chili, however was hot , very tasty and nicely spiced . Too bad , with a little more effort they would have scored higher.

Its been 30 years since I last stepped in during my Navy days. To be fair I was a little bit worse for wear last time :)
Great little pub, steeped in history.
We had lunch, I had the Fish and Chips which was fantastic and the family had the baguettes, food was good quality, fast and at a good price.
Great for food or just having a drink.

Old style Brit Boozer. Central location on main Street.Aso known as The Donkeys Flip Flop ! Tables outside to the front on main street. Food is traditional Brit pub stuff. Don't expect too much. Service was very mixed.

I always pop in here when in Gib, if you want a great quality beer to cool down from your walk/shopping through main street then this is the place. A lot of history and character inside, plenty of seating outside to people watch or catch some sun. Staff are so friendly and always make you feel welcome.

Travelled to Gibraltar for the first time in 46 years since i was last there in the Royal Navy.
Had to pop into the Donkeys Flip Flop to see how it was because Gibraltar has obviously changed so much.
I was not disappointed, Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, great beer, we didn't eat because it was so busy, but the food looked great.
Sadly not many of the old school pubs left on Main St, but The Horseshoe is happily still going strong.
Well worth a visit
