The food in this traditional family-run restaurant is excellent, offering well prepared regional cooking in hearty portions. Service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is relaxed and comforting. On a fine day, the balcony offers views of Catalan Bay.

The best restaurant in Gibraltar - located by the beach, great views, great service and best of all amazing food! Reserve a table before hand as its a popular restaurant and tends to be full.Try one of my fav dishes - gambas con espinacas, gambas pil pil and their paella! Reasonably priced and very good quality!👍🏼

Went there for lunch on a Friday noon. Place opens around 13h00. We wanted a light lunch so we tried the John Dory, it was delicious. Staff was cortesious and told us about the menu and the place. Restaurant has a nice view of Catalan Bay and the Mediterranean.

One doesn't have to watch too many "kitchen nightmare" style programmes to realise how to spot a failing restaurant. In my view La Mamela is exactly that. At a restaurant, when the food is not very good or over-priced, less customers eat there. The restaurant owners then, rather than correcting the problems, put the prices up. This then further reduces... More

Ive been in this restaurant four or five times and every time the food has been excellent however it is quite expensive. The worst bit is the waiting time. You,ll be expecting to wait at least an hour for your food. If rack obeys/tapas they,ll be served when and as they come out without a flow. Moreover I would not... More

My wife and I ate here for lunch while in Gibraltar. Our taxi cab driver told us where the cruise ship people eat and where the locals eat. We heeded his local advice and are glad we did... The Iberian ham and manchego cheese appetizer was fantastic as were the shrimp pil pil which was like I'd have expected with... More
