If you are visiting Gibraltar, you will soon find out that it is quite expensive to eat out , £50 plus for two is nothing. Found The Clipper whilst walking through Irish Town close to our hotel . Looked reasonably busy so walked in to a friendly welcome and a table for two was shown to us . Quick service... More

A warm welcome and nice, cozy atmosphere. Good, honest home cooked food. Great price and value for money! Always a winner with us! Love the Clipper.

Been so many times, says it all . very central ,with a very welcome staff giving a very good service.Food is piping hot and true British pub grub and beers with a cooler temperature than in Uk pubs, due to the location in this side of the globe. Not to be missed on your visit to the Rock.especially impresses Spanish visitors which... More

Went to The clipper for a work party. We were all so disappointed with the food which seemed microwaved. Staff were friendly but food was a serious let down. Not good pub grub. Wouldn't go here again.

My husband and I took a tour from Portugal to Gibraltar for the day- after seeing many wonderful Gibraltar sites, we had lots of extra free time so we walked up the shopping street- we asked a jewelry store owner to recommend a nice place to eat and The Clipper came highly recommended- we took their advise and we are... Excellent restaurant clean and airy, sit inside or outside. I had a chicken breast with bacon and cheese with chips and veg - carrots and broccoli. Wife had a small steak in a lovely sauce with rice and salad. You had the choice of mash - chips or rice with any meal. There was a large menu choice from the... More

It was recommended by a local, always a good sign! It's more of a restaurant than a pub. Quite spacious, varied menu with many choices. Portions not huge (enough not greedy) but neither are the prices.... The food was tasty, staff polite and attentive....

This was the first place we ate when we arrived from Australia to live in Gibraltar over 11 years ago. It has improved since then. The food is cheap and cheerful. Typical English fare. Very popular amongst families and tourists. The staff are lovely, always very busy. Only a few tables outside, not the best vista. It is located on... More
