We visited the clipper early September, Great home made food, just want we wanted, service was excellent couldn’t fault it,even when it was really busy, loads to choose from the menu. Food came quickly and was very hot, because we really enjoyed the first time...we ended up come 4-5times in the week we stayed here in gib. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.More

Been on a 3 night stay to Gibraltar and was told to visit this place, we have eaten there every evening and their prawn, tuna salad is well recommended for the price. The coffees are lovely and their apple n strawberry crumble with custard was homemade...and delicious. If you are out there please visit you will not be disappointed.More

Each time we've visited The Clipper we've been met with such friendly staff, had fantastic customer service and the food has always been spot on. It's very reasonably priced and the mains are fresh, plentiful and it's all home made. We have never been disappointed...and can highly recommend a visit for some good traditional hearty meals. Living locally we visit here at least 3 times each month. You will not be disappointed!More

After a 4 day break, we stopped at the Clipper en route to the airport. We both had a roast, pork & beef, which was lovely. Lots of fresh veg, tonnes of tasty, well cooked meat & al the trimmings. An absolute bargain for £8.95,...will definitely returnMore

Visited the Clipper on several occasssions on our visit to Gibraltar last week. Very good value for money. Had several different meals and all were good. Staff make you feel very welcome, especially Jyoti who went out of her way to assist. Definately would recommend...always a warm welcome waiting.More

Having visited Gib many times for National day Christmas and mates trips, I thought I knew what to expect on this visit and having eaten elsewhere in town over the 5 days we were here this year, it was a very disappointing visit to the...clipper on this occasion. Firstly it wasn’t busy so this cannot be used as an excuse, there was only 2 other tables in use when we walked in. We got our drinks pretty quickly and I can’t really complain about them. However we waited another 15 minutes for someone to take our order (which was vegetarian lasagne and beef stroganoff) it wasn’t a complicated order, my wife asked for no tomatoes on the salad with her lasagne and I was offered veg with my stroganoff. We waited and waited for our meals quite patiently, but we did have to be somewhere in 2 hours and needed to get changed before. Two other parties (a family of 3 and a single gentleman) came in after we had ordered however both of these received their food well before us and in fact the gentleman finished his and paid for it before ours came, after we had waited 40 minutes we asked where our food was, we were told it was on its way, however it was a further 15 minutes to come. That’s when the disappointment went to the next level, firstly my wife salad came with 2 massively thickly slices tomatoes on the top and my “veg” was 2 small pieces of broccoli. The meals had obviously been zapped on the plate in a commercial microwave and the rice with my stroganoff was only like warm with the stroganoff at surface of the sun temperature. As we would have had no time to re-order or go elsewhere we had no choice but to eat the meals, the taste was “OK” but everything about the situation takes any good points away. When we complained we got a very insincere apology, no offer of money off or a free sweet (which is what I would have expected) there was no denial about the wait we had but an excise of “we have to cook the meals” for something that was obviously banged in a microwave for 5 minutes, just doesn’t cut it. I’ve eaten in the clipper on several previous occasion over the years with no issues, this may have been a one off, but you can’t take away that it was a poor experience.More

Had breakfast and an evening meal here and both were excellent. The Moroccan meatballs were to die for. Great service and good value meals all served in a clean and tidy restaurant.

Had a couple of meals at the Clipper, compliments to the chef on all meals. Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Book a table for our Sunday roast, got there early but they still seated us & served us right away. Great food,...great service, Great atmosphere, great facilities, free Wi-Fi . Have a meal here every time we come to Gibraltar. Thank you to all the staffMore

I think it was quite reasonable. Nothing exorbitant. I think full entries were between 9 gbp and 14 gbp with enough food and sides to make it worthwhile.
